PİLOT PROGRAMIN UYGULANDIĞI VE UYGULANMADIĞI İLKÖĞRETİM ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN FEN VE TEKNOLOJİ DERSİNE YÖNELİK TUTUMLARININ KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract

Eğitimin temel amacı; toplumun ihtiyaç duyduğu niteliklere sahip, toplumun kalkınması için gerekli gelişmelere açık bireyler yetiştirmektir. Bu nedenle de okullarda uygulanan eğitim programlarının toplumda meydana gelen değişimlere paralel olarak sürekli geliştirilmesi ve yenilenmesi gerekmektedir. Diğer disiplinlerde olduğu gibi fen alanındaki çalışmalar, yenilikler ve ilerlemeler fen derslerinde yeni kazanımlara ihtiyaç olduğunu göstermektedir.Bu araştırma, 2004 Fen ve Teknoloji Öğretim Programı' nın (pilot program) uygulandığı ve uygulanmadığı ilköğretim 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin fen ve teknoloji dersine yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Araştırmanın evrenini, 2007-2008 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ankara iline bağlı Bala, Gölbaşı, Yenimahalle, Sincan ilçelerinde bulunan 8. sınıf öğrencileri, örneklemini ise bu ilçelerden rastgele seçilmiş 17 tane ilköğretim okulunda öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Bu okullardan 7 tanesi pilot programın uygulandığı ve 10 tanesi pilot programın uygulanmadığı ilköğretim okuludur. Çalışmaya toplam 1000 öğrenci katılmıştır.Öğrencilerin bu derse karşı tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla; toplam 28 sorudan oluşan bir anket uygulanmıştır.Toplanan verilerin çözümlenmesinde, araştırmacının amacına uygun olarak t testi tekniği uygulanmıştır. Bulgular tablolara dönüştürülerek, yorumlanmış ve bu bulgular sonucunda karşılaştırılan iki öğretim programı arasında öğrencilerin tutumları açısından anlamlı bir farklılığa rastlanmamıştır.

The main purpose of education is to bring up individuals who have the characteristics needed by the society, and who are open for the required factors which develop the society. This requires the continuous development and innovation of the educative programs applied at schools correspondingly with the changes occurring in the society. Studies, innovations, and developments in science have displayed - just like in other disciplines- that, new educational attainments are required for science lessons.This research was carried out with the aim to determine the line of conduct of eighth class pupils in schools where the 2004 Science and Technology syllabus ( pilot programme) was applied, and wasn?t applied for Science and Technology lessons.Pupils of 8th class in districts of Ankara like: Bala, Golbasi, Yenimahalle, Sincan in the educational year 2007- 2008 were topic to the research, and samples were taken from pupils of 17 elementary schools chosen randomly. The pilot programme was applied on 7 elementary schools of the related schools, and it wasn?t applied in the 10 other elementary schools. 1000 pupils in total took part in the research.A survey of 28 questions in total was made into determining the line of conduct of the pupils to this lesson.The ? t? test was applied suitable to the purpose of this research for analyzing the collected data. The results were displayed and interpreted in tables, and a significant difference wasn?t observed between the line of conducts after a comparison of pupils of two different syllabuses.
