ERGANİ-MADEN BAKIR İŞLETMESİ TARİHİ

Abstract

Madencilik, ilkçağlardan günümüze kadar, yaşanılan bölgenin durumuna göre zaman zaman insanların temel uğraşı ve zaman zaman da ekonomik zenginlikler arasında yer almıştır. Dünyanın hemen her bölgesinde maden yatakları mevcut olup, bu durum güçlü devletlerin dikkatini çekmiştir ve bu bölgeler devletlerin çatışma alanı haline gelmiştir. Bu da madenlerin ve madenciliğin ne kadar önemli olduğunu göstermektedir. Türkiye coğrafyası da madenler açısından dünyanın en zengin bölgelerinden biridir.Elazığ'ın Maden ilçesi (Ergani Madeni), Türkiye'nin hatta dünyanın en zengin bakır yataklarından birine merkez oluşturmaktadır. Bu bölge hemen her devirde uygarlıkların cazibe noktası haline gelmiştir. 1939'da modern usullerle çalışmaya başlayan Ergani Bakır İşletmesi, bölgenin ekonomik ve sosyal olarak gelişiminde en önemli paya sahiptir. İşletme, Türkiye içinde ekonomik açıdan en çok gelir getiren kuruluşlar arasında yer almış ve ülkenin bakır ihtiyacını fazlasıyla karşılaşmıştır. Ancak bir süre sonra bakır cevherinin değerinin azalması bu kuruluşun önemini gün geçtikte azaltmış ve işletmeyi kapanma noktasına götürmüştür.Yapılan bu Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Ergani Bakır İşletmesi'nin tanıtılmasını, bölge ve ülke ekonomisine katkısını ve sosyal yaşama etkisini kapsamaktadır.

The Mining has become the main activities and the economical richness of the humanbeings? depending of the situation of the region where people inhabited since the First Age (the Antiquity). Mining deposits can be seen all over the world and this situation took the attarcitons of the powerful states. Thus mining regions became the confilct area of the states. Briefly, all these situation shows how significance the mine areas and the mining. The Turkish geography is also one of the richest country in mining zones/areas in the world.The town, Maden of the Elazığ city (Ergani Madeni), has become one of the richest cupper mine deposits in Turkey as well as in the world. Thus this region has gotten the attraciton of civilizations in all periods of the history. With modern methods since 1939, the Ergani Cupper Factory, has had the most significant place on the development of the region with social and economical dimensions. Additionaly, it has also become one of the significant institution which has brought the highest level of economical incomes in Turkey and it completely fullfilled the cupper needs of the country. However, after a while, since the importance of the cupper mine in daily life decreases, this institutions has lost its value and come in a point of closing all units.This master thesis comprires the introduction of the Ergani Cupper Factory with its benifit to the region and the whole country and the effect of the social life as well.
