XI.-XV. YÜZYILLARDA YAKINDOĞU VE AVRUPA'DA TEKNOLOJİK GELİŞMELER VE BU GELİŞMELERİN SOSYO-EKONOMİK VE KÜLTÜREL ETKİLERİ

Abstract

XI.-XV. yüzyıllarda, hem Yakındoğu hem de Avrupa'da sonraki yüzyılları da etkileyen önemli gelişmeler olmuştur. Özellikle de bilim ve teknoloji alanında. Kendini soğuktan koruma, emniyete alma ihtiyacını duyan atalarımızın barınakları muhteşem yapılara dönüştü. Taş balta, kalkanlara ve bugün de lazer silahlarına dönüştü. Mesafeleri kısaltmayı amaçlayan tekerlek, hem küçüldü hem de inanılmaz hızlara ulaştı. Mesafeler sorun olmaktan çıktı. Bir insan yaşamının yarısı kadar zamanda inşa edilen yapılar, teknik sayesinde birkaç yıl içinde inşa edilmeye başlandı. Eskiçağ ve Ortaçağdaki mekanik düzeneklerin ardından buhar gücünün keşfiyle birlikte gelişen makineleşme süreci, bugün farklı enerji kaynaklarıyla çalışan makinelerin kullanımını gerçekleştirdi. Yani bu yüzyıllarda oluşan teknoloji, sadece Ortaçağı değil; aynı zamanda günümüze kadar varan gelişmelerin de kaynağını oluşturmuştur. Bir geçiş dönemi olarak adlandırdığımız Ortaçağdaki teknolojik gelişmeler, sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel hayatı da etkilemişlerdir. Bu da teknolojinin bir sosyal olgu olmasından kaynaklanmaktadır.

The İmportant improvements, became that effected other centuries, in Levant and Europe in 11th ? 15th centuries. Espicially on the science and technology spheres. The shelters of the our ancestors who needed to take theirselves safety and save theirselves from the cold weather, changed to the magnificent buildings. The rock axle, changed to the shields and laser weapons. The Wheel that aimed to shorten the distances, became small and reached the unbelievable speeds. The distances haven?t become problem any more. The buildings that built in as a half time of human?s life, were began to built in a few year. The mechanized process, that developed with discovery of the steam power after the mechanism in the Prehistoric and Middle ages, realized to be used the machines with different energy sources today. Also the technology that developed in this centuries, become the basis source of improvements not only in the middle ages and also in today?s. The technological improvements in the middle ages as we called a transition period, have effected the social- economic and culturel life. This results from that the technology becomes a social fact.
