Yüksek Lisans Tezi STURM - LİOUVİLLE OPERATÖRÜNÜN SPEKTRAL ANALİZİ Mehmet KAYALAR Fırat Üniversitesi Fen bilimleri Enstitüsü Matematik Anabilim Dalı 1998, Sayfa 51 Bu çalışma beş bölümden oluşmuştur. Birinci bölümde; Diferansiyel operatörlerin spektral teorisinde sıkça kullanılan bazı temel tanım ve teoremler verilmiştir. ikinci bölümde; Cauchy problemi ve Cauchy probleminin Riemann metodu ile çözümü ve bununla ilgili bir örnek verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde; Sturm-Liouville operatörünün özdeğerler özfonksiyonlar, normlaştırılmış sayılar ve ortonormalleştirilmiş özfonksiyonları için asimtotik formüller bulunmuştur. Dördüncü bölümde; Dönüşüm operatörü ve x=0 noktasında başlangıç şartları verilen Sturm-Liouville operatörü için dönüşüm operatörü bulunmuş ve bunlarla ilgili bazı teoremler verilmiştir. Beşinci bölüm ise çalışmanın orijinal kısmı olup Sturm-Liouville fark denklemi için açılım teoremi ve özfonksiyonların tanrılığı incelenmiştir. SUMMARY Master of Art Thesis SPECTRAL ANALYSIS OF STURM - LIOUVILLE OPERATOR Mehmet KAYALAR Fırat University Institute of Applied Science Department of Mathematics 1998, 51 Pages This study consists of 5 chapters. In the first chapter, some basic definitions and theories, frequently used in spectral theory of differential operators, are presented. In the second chapter Cauchy's theorem, its solution with the Riemann's method and its examples are presented. In the third chapter Sturm-Liouville operators' Asymptotic formulation of Eigenvalues, Eigenfunctions, normed numbers and orthonormed Eigenfunctions are found. In the fourth chapter foundations of transformations operators, foundations of transformation operators for the Sturm - Liouville operator on the x = 0 point and some theorems. In the fifth chapter extension theorem for Sturm - Liouville difference equation and completeness of Eigenfunctions are examined.
