İLKÖĞRETİM ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN ÇALIŞMA ALIŞKANLIKLARININ MATEMATİKTEKİ BAŞARILARINA ETKİLERİ

Abstract

Bu araştırma, ilköğretim öğrencilerinin çalışma alışkanlıklarının matematikteki dersindeki başarılarına etkilerini belirtmektedir. Araştırma, 1999 - 2000 öğretim yılında Elazığ ve Ankara illerinden seçilen (Özel, Merkez ve Merkeze Uzak ) olmak üzere toplam 6 okulun 4.,5. ve 6. Sınıf öğrencilerine ve bu sınıfların sınıf öğretmenleri ile 6. Sınıfa giren matematik öğretmenlerine uygulanarak yapılmıştır. Her öğrencinin cevap kağıdının üzerine 1. Döneme ait matematik dersindeki başarı puanı yazılmıştır. Formlar tek tek kontrol edilerek toplanmıştır. Ham veriler SPSS istatistik programında kullanılmak üzere bilgisayara tek tek girilmiştir. Tüm değişkenler arasındaki ilişkilerin belirtilmesi için Sperma'nm sıra korelasyon katsayılarına bakılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgulara göre; öğrencinin matematik dersine karşı tutum puanları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğunu, başarı puanı yüksek olan öğrencinin tutum puanlarının da yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin matematik başarılarında : öğretmenin, ailenin ve çevrenin etkisi olduğu ve öğrencilerin örneklem alınan okullara göre başarıları arasında fark olduğu fakat tutum puanlan arasında fark olmadığı görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin kendilerini değerlendirme ölçeklerinde, ders öncesi hazırlık, öğretir.-e hazırlık, öğretim, öğretim yöntemleri ve diğer öğretim faaliyetlerini istenilen sıklıkla kullandıklarını belirtmişlerdir.

Page: This study investigates the primary school student's mathematics studying habits effects on the mathematics course achievement. The study was conducted through the application of a guestionnaire to the 4.,5. Ve 6 th grade students and their classroom teachers of 6 different schools (private, center and far away center) randomly selected in Elazığ and Ankara in the 1 999 - 2000 educatin year. The first term mathematics course achievement marks of the each student was written on the answer sheet. The answer sheets were checked and gathered one by one from the respondents. The raw data were loaded on the computer and processed using the SPSS statical programme. In order to define the relationship among the all variables sperman's squenced correlation coefficient were used. According to the data gathered from the study, it was concluded that there is a meaningful correlation between the students mathematics course achievement mark and their attitudes to wards mathematics course. The student who has a high math course achievement mark has also a high score on the attitude scale. It was observed that teacher, parents and environment play an important rule in the students mathematics achievement. Accarding to the sample schools, the students exhibited disparities in achievement but not in attitude scale. In the teachers self-evaluatiy scale, teachers stated that they use the techiques of before classes preparation, preparation for classes, teaching methods and other teaching activities as required frequency.
