OSMANLI DEVLETİ'NDE İKTİSADİ GELİŞMELER (1789-1860)

Abstract

Osmanlı ekonomisi çok farklı faktörlerin etkileşimi sonucu şekillenmiş, kendine has bir ekonomidir. Osmanlı ekonomisini klasik dönem ve yenileşme dönemi olarak iki dönemde incelemek mümkündür. Klasik Osmanlı ekonomisi sanayi öncesi şartların hâkim olduğu,ziraate dayalı, ayni bir ekonomidir. Yenileşme dönemi ise klasik yapının değişmesini zorunlu hale getiren,içeride ve dünyada meydana gelen gelişmelerin sonucu olarak, diğer alanlarla birlikte ekonomide reform hareketinin başladığı bir dönemdir. Kısacası incelediğimiz dönem Osmanlı Devleti'nin ayni bir ekonomiden nakit ekonomisine, klasik bir yapıdan modern bir ekonomiye geçiş dönemidir. Ancak Osmanlı Devleti ekonomide modernleşme sürecini kapitalizmin baskısı altında gerçekleştirmek zorunda kalmıştır. Biz bu süreci kurumlar bazında ayrı ayrı ortaya koymaya çalıştık.

Ottoman economy is a unique economy which is shaped by the interaction of many different factors. It is possible to examine the Ottoman economy in two periods as classical and restoration. The classical Ottoman economy is a commodity economy based on agriculture, dominated by pre-industrial conditions. On the other hand, the restoration period is a period which necessitated the change of the classical structure and the reform movement in the economy starts with the other areas as a result of the developments that occurred inside and around the world. In short, the period we examine is the transition period of Ottoman Empire from the commodity economy to a cash economy, from a classical to a modern economy. However, The Ottoman State was forced to modernization process in the economy under the pressure of capitalism. We tried to examine this process separately in order to institutions.
