Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin İlk Klinik Stres Düzeyleri ve Etkileyen Faktörler

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma hemşirelik birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin ilk klinik uygulama sonrası yaşadıkları stres düzeyleri ve bunu etkileyen faktörlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı olarak yapılan bu çalışma İnönü Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi ve Fırat Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Hemşirelik Bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencileri n=446 ile yapıldı. Araştırmada öğrencilerin klinik uygulama sırasında strese neden olan faktörlerinin belirlenmesi ve sosyo-demografik verilerinin toplanmasında ‘Anket Formu’ ve stres seviyelerinin belirlenmesinde “Klinik Stres Anketi” kullanıldı. Veriler öğrencilerin klinik eğitime başladığı ilk günün sonunda toplandı. Verilerin analizinde sayı, yüzdelik dağılımlar, t testi ve korelasyon analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin ilk kez klinik uygulama sırasında düşük düzeyde 26.13 ± 10.10 stres yaşadıkları ve alt boyut puan ortalamaları “tehdit” boyutunda 6.96±4.57, “mücadele” boyutunda 11.97±6.13, “zarar” boyutunda 3.37±3.56 ve “yarar” boyutunda 3.81±2.33 olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğrenciler klinikte kendilerini strese sokan durum olarak en yüksek oranda hastalar ve bunu sırasıyla doktorlar, hemşireler ve öğretim elemanı olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Sonuç: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin ilk klinik uygulama sırasında düşük düzeyde stres yaşadıkları ve strese en fazla hastaların neden olduğu belirlenmiştirPurpose: This study aims to determine the factors that affect the levels of stress experienced by freshman nursing students during the first clinical practice. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted with freshman students studying at the Department of Nursing in Faculty of Health Sciences in the İnönü University and the Fırat University n=446 . A "Questionnaire" was used to identify the factors that cause stress in students during clinical practice and collect socio-demographic data as well as the "Clinical Stress Questionnaire" used for determining the levels of stress. The data were collected at the end of the first day of clinical training. Number and percentage distributions, t-test and correlation analysis were used for the analysis of data. Results: It was found that nursing students experience a low level 26.13±10.10 stress during the first clinical practice; and the mean sub-scale scores were found to be 6.96±4.57 in the "threat" sub-scale, 11.97±6.13 in the "struggle" sub-scale, 3.37±3.56 in the "harm" sub-scale and 3.81±2.33 in the "benefit" sub-scale. The students stated that they got stressed because of patients in the clinic primarily, followed by doctors, nurses, and faculty members respectively. Conclusion: It was revealed that nursing students experience a low level of stress during the first clinical practice, mostly caused by patients
