OKUL ÖNCESİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN OKUL İKLİMİNE İLİŞKİN ALGILARI İLE TÜKENMİŞLİK DÜZEYLERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın genel amacı; okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin, okul iklimi algıları ile tükenmişlik düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini, 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında Kahramanmaraş ili ve tüm ilçelerinde okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında mesleklerini sürdüren 495 okul öncesi öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Evrenin tamamına ulaşmak hedeflenmiş ancak Kahramanmaraş iline ait 2 adet merkez ilçe olmak üzere toplam 11 ilçede bulunan okullarda görev yapan 239 okul öncesi öğretmeninden dönüş alınmış ve örnekleme dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmada genel tarama modeli türlerinden olan korelasyonel (ilişkisel) tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında veriler, Okul Öncesi Okul İklimi Ölçeği, Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği ve araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada verilerin analizinde JAMOVI istatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin görev yaptıkları okulun iklimini genel olarak olumlu algıladıkları görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin genel olarak tükenmişlik duygusunu yılda birkaç kez hissettikleri elde edilen sonuçlar arasında yer almaktadır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar, okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin okul iklimi algıları ile tükenmişlik düzeyleri arasında negatif yönlü düşük düzeyde bir ilişki olduğunu ve okul ikliminin öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyinin anlamlı bir yordayıcısı olduğunu göstermektedir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre politika üretenlere ve araştırmacılara öneriler sunulmuştur.

The general purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between preschool teachers' perceptions of school climate and their burnout levels. The study population consists of 495 preschool teachers working in preschool education institutions in the city and all districts of Kahramanmaraş during the 2023-2024 academic year. While it was aimed to reach the entire population, feedback was received from 239 preschool teachers working in schools in a total of 11 districts, including 2 central districts of Kahramanmaraş, and they were included in the sample. In the study, the correlational survey model, which is one of the general survey model types, was used. Within the scope of the research, data were collected using the Preschool School Climate Scale, the Maslach Burnout Inventory, and a personal information form prepared by the researcher. The JAMOVI statistical package program was used to analyze the data. According to the results obtained, it was found that preschool teachers generally perceive the climate of the schools they work in as positive. Among the results obtained, it was found that teachers feel typically a sense of burnout a few times a year. The results obtained from the research show that there is a low-level negative relationship between preschool teachers' perceptions of school climate and their burnout levels and that school climate is a significant predictor of teachers' burnout levels. Based on the results of the research, recommendations were made to policymakers and researchers.
