Pulmonary Thromboembolism Due to Simple Bone Fracture in a Young Patient. A Case Report

Abstract

Pulmonary embolism is a clinical entity, which are appeared as a result of obstruction of pulmonary arteries due to deep vein thrombosis. In this study, we aimed to present and to discuss in the foresic medicine that a post-traumatic pulmonary embolism patient who a young man were suffered pulmoner embolism due to simple trauma. A 32 years old male was presented in this study. There was any disease. he felt the pain on the right knee in during fight, while as the separation of a person. The line fracture on tibia lateral condyle was detemined in MRI of right knee. And a splint was done his right the lower extremity at the hospital. Five days later, he felt chest pain and dyspnea because of pulmonary embolism. It was identified with CT due to immobilization and the necessary treatment was performed. After the treatment, he was discharged with parenchymal fibrotic amendment in the lower lobe of his lung. As a result, we believe that needs to be discussed and evaluation of different aspects these phenomena in terms of forensics when reporting.
