ELAZIĞ İLİ KIRSAL YÖRE KEDİLERİNDE EKTO VE ENDOPARAZİTLER VE BUNLARIN HALK SAĞLIĞI YÖNÜNDEN ÖNEMİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, 1995-1997 yıllan arasında Elazığ'ın ova ve yayla köylerinden temin edilen 48 dişi ve 52 erkek olmak üzere toplam 100 kedi, parazitolojik yönden incelenmiştir. Yakalanan kedilerin önce yaş ve cinsiyetleri, dışkı muayenesi ile de taşıdıkları protozoon ve helmintler belirlenmiştir. Bu hayvanların ektoparazitleri toplandıktan sonra otopsi yapılmış ve sindirim sistemi, karaciğer, akciğerler, kalp, pankreas, dalak, böbrekler, idrar kesesi, karın boşluğu ve deri altı dokuları parazitolojik yönden araştırılmıştır. Toplanan ektoparazitler %70'lik alkole, helmintler %0.9'luk fizyolojik tuzlu suya toplanmış; nematodlar %70'lik alkolde, trematod ve cestodlar %10'luk formolde tesbit edilmiştir. Ektoparazitler Kloral hidrat solüsyonunda, nematodlar laktofenolde şefTaflandınldıktan, trematod ve cestodlar boraksh karminle boyandıktan sonra mikroskopta incelenmiş ve tür tanımlan yapılarak sayılmıştır. İncelenen 100 kedinin tamamının (%100) değişik parazit türleriyle enfekte olduklan belirlenmiş, bunlardan 1 (%1.0)'inde Opistorchis tenuicollis, 64 (%64.0)'ünde Joyeuxiella pasqualei. 59 (%59.0)'unda Hydatigera taeniaeformis. 33 (%33.0)'ünde Dipylidium caninum. 20 (%20.0)'sinde Mesocestoides lineatus. 19 (%19.0)'unda Diplopylidium nölleri. 8 (%8.0)'inde Tetrathyridium elongatum. 57 (%57.0)'sinde Toxocara mystax. 6 (%6.0)'sında Physaloptera praeputialis. 4 (%4.0)'ünde Capillaria aerophila. 1 (%1.0)'inde Uncinaria stenocephala. 20 (%20.0)'sinde Isospora felis. 41 (%41.0)'inde Ctenocephalides felis. 14 (%14.0)'ünde Cheyletiella blakei. 3 (%3.0)'ünde Rhipicephalus sanguineus ve 1 (% 1.0) 'inde Linguatula serrata (nimf) bulunmuştur. Enfekte 100 kediden 8 adet trematod, 4525 adet cestod, 285 adet nematod, 1 adet Pentastomida ve 523 adet artropod olmak üzere toplam 5342 adet parazit toplanmıştır. Artropodlardan Cheyletiella blakei ve Linguatula serrata (nimf)'nın bölgemizdeki kedilerde varlığı ilk kez bu araştırma ile belirlenmiştir.In this study, parasitological examination of 48 female and 52 male cats (total 100 cats) obtained from plain land and plateau villages of Elazığ in the period of 1995- 1997 was conducted. The location where the cats caught and the sexuality of cats were noted. Helminths and protozoon species carried by cats were determined by the examination of feces. Autopsy was performed after the collection of ectoparasites on cats. Tissues of digestive tract, lungs, heart, pancreas, spleen, liver, kidneys, urine bladder, subcutaneous layer and abdominal cavity were investigated from the standpoint of parasitology. Ectoparasites were collected in 70% alcohol and helminths in 0.9% saline. Nematodes collected were fixed in 70% alcohol while trematodes and cestodes were fixed in 10% formalin. Transparency of ectoparasites was obtained by using Chloral hydrate solution and lactophenol was used for nematodes. Trematodes and cestodes were stained with carmen borax die. Type description and counting were done by microscopic examination. All of the cats examined (100%) were determined to be infected by various parasites. Opistorchis tenuicollis was found in one cat (1.0%), Joyeuxiella pasqualei in 64 cats (64.0%), Hydatigera taeniaeformis in 59 cats (59.0%), Dipylidium caninum in 33 cats. (33.0%), Mesocestoides lineatus in 20 cats (20.0%), Diplopylidium nölleri in 19 cats (19.0%), Tetrathyridium elongatum in 8 cats (8.0%), Toxocara mystax in 57 cats (57.0%), Physaloptera praeputialis in 6 cats (6.0%), Capillaria aerophila in 4 cats (4.0%), Uncinaria stenocephala in 1 cat (1.0%), Isospora felis in 20 cats (20.0%), Ctenocephalides felis in 41 cats (41.0%), Cheyletiella blakei in 14 cats (14.0%), Rhipicephalus sanguineus in 3 cats (3.0%) and Linguatula serrata (nymph) in 1 cat (1.0%). 8 trematodes, 4525 cestodes, 285 nematodes, 1 Pentastomida and 523 arthropoda, total 5342 parasites had been collected from infected 100 cats. The presence of arthropoda Cheyletiella blakei and Linguatula serrata (nymph) in cats in Elazığ region was determined for the first time by this study.
