ÖĞRENCİLERİN ETİK YETENEKLERİNİN GELİŞTİRİLMESİNDE SINIF ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN YETERLİLİKLERİNİN ÇEŞİTLİ DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı öğrencilerin etik yeteneklerinin geliştirilmesinde sınıf öğretmenlerinin yeterliliğini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2021-2022 yılları arasında Bingöl ilindeki ilkokullarda görev yapan sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak evrenden seçilen 151 ön uygulama 451 asıl uygulama olmak üzere toplam 602 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın amacına uygun beşli likert türünde 25 maddelik 'Öğrencilerin Etik Yeteneklerinin Geliştirilmesinde Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Yeterliliği Anketi' geliştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda kritik bulgular şunlardır: • En yüksek aritmetik ortalamaya sahip olan madde 'Öğrencilerimin olumlu davranışlarını desteklerim.' olarak belirlenmiştir. En düşük aritmetik ortalamaya sahip olan madde ise, 'Öğrencilerimle sokak hayvanlarını korumaya teşvik eden çalışmalar yaparım.' olarak tespit edilmiştir. • Öğrencilerin etik yeteneklerinin geliştirilmesinde sınıf öğretmenlerinin yeterliliğine ilişkin anket maddelerinin cinsiyet, yaş, kıdem, eğitim düzeyi, mezun olunan fakülte ve branş değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda sınıf öğretmenlerinin öğrencilerin etik yeteneklerini geliştirmeye yönelik yeterlilik düzeyleri ile ilgili önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The aim of this study is to determine the competence of classroom teachers in the development of students' ethical abilities. The universe of the research consists of classroom teachers working in primary schools in the province of Bingöl between the years 2021-2022. The sample of the study consisted of 602 primary school teachers, 151 of which were pre-applications and 451 of which were actual applications, selected from the population using the simple random sampling method. In accordance with the purpose of the research, the 'Classroom Teachers' Competence Questionnaire in the Development of Students' Ethical Skills', consisting of 25 items in five-point Likert type, was developed. The critical findings as a result of the research are: • The item with the highest arithmetic average is 'I support the positive behavior of my students.' has been determined. The item with the lowest arithmetic average is 'I work with my students to encourage the protection of stray animals.' was detected. • It has been determined that the questionnaire items related to the competence of classroom teachers in the development of students' ethical abilities do not differ significantly according to gender, age, seniority, education level, graduated faculty and branch variables. As a result of the research, suggestions were made about the level of competence of classroom teachers to improve students' ethical abilities.
