Sosyolojik Bir İçerikle Türk Mitolojisi ve İkonografisi

Abstract

Yunanca mitologia sözcüğünden türemiş olan mitoloji, belirli bir kültüre ya da dinsel geleneğe dayalı olarak doğa olayları ve varlıklarını açıklamada kullanılan söylenceler bütünüdür. Her toplumun inanç anlayışını ve kültürel değerlerini yansıtan bir mitoloji anlayışı bulunmaktadır.İnsanların davranış ve düşünüş biçimlerinde etkili olan ve hikayelerden oluşan bu anlayış toplumların kültürel şifrelerini içeren simgelere dönüşmekte ve böylece kaya resimlerinden edebi eserlere kadar birçok sanat yapıtında yaşatılmaktadır. Kendine özgü bir sosyo-kültürel yapıya sahip olan Türklerin bu inancı birçok medeniyetten farklı bir doğrultuda şekil almıştır.Buradan hareketle bu çalışmanın konusunu; Türk medeniyetinin diğer medeniyetlerden ayrılan mitoloji anlayışlarının ikonografisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı birçok medeniyetle etkileşim içerisinde olan Türklerin bu inançlarının kaynağında yer alan etkenleri incelemektir. Çalışma sonucunda; sosyo-kültürel alanda bir sentez oluşturmuş olan Türklerin, geçmiş yaşamlarının, tabiat olayları, bitkiler ve hayvanlara dayalı olduğu görülmüştür. Kolektif bilinci harekete geçiren bu olayların ve varlıkların her birine kendilerinde bıraktığı duygu paralelinde olağanüstü anlamlar yükledikleri ve böylece hem inanç sistemlerini hem de toplumsal düzenlerini oluşturdukları anlaşılmıştır.

Mythology, derived from the Greek word mitologia, is a set of myths used to explain natural events and existence based on a certain culture or religious tradition. Every society has an understanding of mythology that reflects its understanding of belief and cultural values. This understanding, which consists of stories and is effective in people's behavior and way of thinking, turns into symbols containing the cultural codes of societies and is thus kept alive in many works of art, from rock paintings to literary works. This belief of the Turks, who have a unique socio-cultural structure, has taken shape in a different direction than many civilizations. Based on this, the subject of this study is; It constitutes the iconography of the understanding of mythology of the Turkish civilization, which differs from other civilizations. The aim of the study is to examine the factors at the origin of these beliefs of the Turks, who interact with many civilizations. As a result of the study; It has been seen that the past lives of the Turks, who have created a synthesis in the socio-cultural field, were based on natural events, plants and animals. It has been understood that they attribute extraordinary meanings to each of these events and beings that activate the collective consciousness, in parallel with the emotions they leave behind, and thus create both their belief systems and social orders.
