16097 Numaralı Temettüat Defterine Göre Harput Asurî Mahallesi

Abstract

Osmanlı sosyo-ekonomik tarihinin önemli kaynaklarından olan temettüât defterleri, ait oldukları dönemin sosyal ve ekonomik özelliklerini yansıtan çok önemli veriler ihtiva etmektedir. Bu çalışmada Tanzimat ile birlikte uygulamaya konulan vergi reformunun bir aracı olan H.1260-61/M.1844-45 temettüât tahrirleri çerçevesinde, Harput şehrinin beş Ermeni mahallesinden birisi olan Asurî Mahallesi hane reislerinin cizye kapsamındaki sosyo-ekonomik durumları çok yönlü olarak sorgulanmakta ve bazı tespitler yapılmaktadır

Temettuât defters, one of the major sources of Otoman socio-economic history of the period, contain important data as regards to the social and economic characteristics of the era they reflect. In this study being a tool of tax reform implemented with the Tanzimat, and around the framework of H.1260-61/ M.184445 temettü tahrirs, socio-economic situations of the household heads of five Armenian neighborhoods of the City of Harput in the Assyrian neighborhood are being questioned in many respects in the context of the capitation tax and made some determinations
