ALKOL KATKILI ASPİR YAĞI BİYODİZELİNİN BİR DİZEL MOTORUNDA KULLANILABİLİRLİĞİNİN ARAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract

Sera gazı etkisinden kaynaklanan küresel ısınma, günümüzde dünyanın en önemli ortak çevre sorunu olarak gösterilmektedir. Sera gazı etkisi; buzulların erimesi ve buna bağlı olarak deniz seviyesinde yükselmeler, küresel ölçekli ısınma ve iklimsel değişikliklere neden olmaktadır. Oluşan sorunlara çözüm bulabilmek amacıyla yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarına olan ilgi artış göstermektedir. Bu kaynaklar arasında en kullanışlı en ideal olanlarından biri de biyodizeldir. Biyodizel, dizel motorlarda kullanılabilen bitkisel yağlar gibi yenilenebilir kaynaklardan üretilen sürdürülebilir, çevre dostu, toksik etkisi olmayan ve dizel motorlarda modifikasyona gidilmeden kullanılabilen bir alternatif yakıttır. Bu çalışma mevcut dizel motorlarında önemli bir değişikliğe gidilmeden motorda petrol esaslı yakıtlar yerine bitkisel yağlardan üretilen biyoyakıtların kullanılmasını sağlamaktadır. Bitkisel kökenli yağların petrol kökenli dizel yakıta yakın özelliklerinin olması bu çalışmaların yapılmasında önemli bir faktördür. Çalışmada bir bitkisel yağ olan aspir yağından piroliz yöntemi ile elde edilen biyoyakıtın dizel motorlarında kullanım olanakları test edilmiştir. Ayrıca petrol kaynaklarındaki azalma ve fiyat artışlarına önlem olarak, dizel motorlarda kullanılabilecek yenilene bilirlik payı bulunan ve çevre ile daha uyumlu olan bir alternatif yakıtın tespiti sağlanmıştır. Bu tez çalışmasında bitkisel yağ olan ham aspir yağından piroliz yöntemi ile biyodizel yakıt elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen biyodizelin fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Biyodizel ve mentollü karışımlarının, dizel motora sahip bir deney düzeneğinde farklı devir aralıklarında deneyleri yapılmıştır. Performans ve emisyon sonuçları dizel yakıt ile karşılaştırılıp sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, biyodizel karışımlarının alternatif yakıt olarak kullanılmasının çevre açısından olumlu olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.The global warming caused by the greenhouse gas effect is now regarded as the most important common environmental problem in the world. Greenhouse gas effect; The melting of the glaciers and consequently sea level elevations lead to global warming and climatic changes. In order to find solutions to the problems, there is an increasing interest in renewable energy sources. One of the most useful of these resources and the most ideal one is biodiesel . Biodiesel is produced from renewable sources such as vegetable oils which can be used in d- motors; sustainable, environmentally friendly, non-toxic and an alternative fuel for diesel engines that can be used without modification. This study uses biofuels produced from vegetable oils instead of petroleum-based fuels in the engine without a significant change in existing diesel engines provides. The fact that plant-based oils have close properties to oil-derived diesel fuel is an important factor in making these studies. In the study, bioavailability of bio fuel obtained by pyrolysis method, which is a vegetable oil, was tested in diesel engines. In addition, as a precaution against the decrease in oil resources and price increases, an alternative fuel that has renewable share that can be used in diesel engines and which is more compatible with the environment has been determined. In this thesis, biodiesel fuel was obtained from raw safflower oil which is vegetable oil by pyrolysis method. Obtained biodiesel and chemical properties were determined. Biodiesel and ethanol mixtures were tested at different speed intervals in a test setup with diesel engine. Performance and emission results are compared with diesel fuel and the results are evaluated. As a result of the study, it was concluded that using biodiesel mixtures as an alternative fuel is positive for the environment.
