ATIK FOTOPOLİMERİN BİTÜMÜN GELENEKSEL VE REOLOJİK ÖZELLİKLERİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Yol üstyapısındaki bitümlü tabakaların her gün artan trafik hacmine uzun süre bakım-onarıma ihtiyaç göstermeden hizmet verebilmesi için, içinde kullanılan bitümün özelliklerinin iyileştirilmesi kaçınılmaz bir durum haline gelmiştir. Bu amaçla çoğunlukla polimer tipi katkı maddeleri kullanılmaktadır. Bitüm ve bitümlü karışımlarda kullanılan polimer tipi katkı maddeleri genellikle yurtdışı kaynaklı ve pahalı malzemelerdir. Bitüm modifikasyonunda çözülmesi gereken problem, karışımlar içinde kullanılacak katkıların bitüm ile uyumlu aynı zamanda performansı artırırken ekonomik ve çevresel sorunlara çözüm olup olmamasıdır. Bu çalışmada maliyeti oldukça yüksek olan ve yaygın olarak kullanılan stiren-butadien-stiren (SBS) polimer modifikasyonunun çeşitli performans parametrelerinin, atık foto-polimer (FP) katkısının hangi oranları ile elde edilebileceği araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada B100/150 sınıfı saf bitüm, ağırlıkça %3, %5, %7 ve %9 oranlarında FP ile ve %5 SBS ile modifiye edilmiştir. Bağlayıcılara yumuşama noktası, penetrasyon, dönel viskozite, dinamik kayma reometresi, kiriş eğilme reometresi, depolama stabilitesi ve Fourier dönüşümlü kızılötesi spektroskopisi deneyleri uygulanmıştır. Sonuçta FP modifikasyonu ile bitümün iyi bir uyum içinde olduğu ve iyi bir polimer ağının geliştiği, yaklaşık %10 FP modifikasyonunun %5 SBS modifikasyonu ile benzer özellikler gösterdiği, %7 FP, %9 FP ve %5 SBS katkılı bağlayıcıların 64 ?'de çok ağır trafik koşulları için elverişli olduğu, SBS'ye göre iki kat daha fazla FP ilavesinin düşük sıcaklık davranışı ve depolama stabilitesi bakımından SBS modifikasyonuna göre daha iyi sonuçlar verdiği tespit edilmiştir.In order for the bituminous layers on the pavement to serve the increasing traffic volume for a long time without maintenance and repair, it has become inevitable to improve the properties of the bitumen used in it. For this purpose, mostly polymer type additives are used. Polymer type additives used in bitumen and bituminous mixtures are generally originating from abroad and expensive materials. The problem to be solved in bitumen modification is whether the additives to be used in the mixtures are compatible with bitumen, while increasing the performance at the same time, and whether they are a solution to economic and environmental problems. In this study it was investigated at which content of waste FP the various performance parameters of SBS modification which is widely used and expensive, could be obtained. In the study, B100/150 grade pure bitumen was modified with 3%, 5%, 7% and 9% FP and 5% SBS by weight. Softening point, penetration, rotational viscosity, dynamic shear rheometer, bending beam rheometer, storage stability and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy experiments were applied to binders. As a result, it was determined that FP modification and bitumen were in good harmony and a good polymer network develops, approximately 10% FP modification had similar properties with 5% SBS modification, 7% FP, 9% FP and 5% SBS modified binders were suitable for extremely heavy traffic conditions at 64 ?, the addition of two times more FP than SBS gave better results than the SBS modification in terms of low temperature behavior and storage stability.
