ORTAOKUL 7. SINIF İNSAN VE ÇEVRE İLİŞKİLERİ ÜNİTESİNDE BİLGİSAYAR DESTEKLİ ÖĞRETİMİN ÖĞRENCİ BAŞARISI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, ortaokul yedinci sınıf insan ve çevre ilişkileri ünitesinde bilgisayar destekli öğretimin öğrenci başarısı üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma deney ve kontrol grubu modeline göre planlanıp, uygulanmıştır. Çalışma 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde Bingöl ilinin Karlıova ilçesinde bulunan Şehit Tarık Aydemir Yatılı Bölge Ortaokulunda öğrenim gören toplam 48 yedinci sınıf öğrencisi ile yapılmıştır. İnsan ve çevre ilişkileri ünitesindeki kazanımlara uygun olarak seçilen etkinlikler 16 saatlik bir sürede bilgisayar destekli öğretim yöntemi ile deney grubu üzerine uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubunda ise ünite Fen bilimleri öğretmeni tarafından Fen bilimleri dersi öğretim programının ön gördüğü etkinlikler yapılarak aynı sürede işlenmiştir. Araştırmanın geçerliliğini ve güvenilirliğini belirlemek için 20 maddeden oluşan çoktan seçmeli test kullanılmıştır. Başarı testinin KR-20 güvenirlik katsayısı 0,78 olarak bulunmuştur. Testten elde edilen veriler SPSS 17,0 istatistik programında t testi analizi yapılmıştır. Kontrol ve deney gruplarına insan ve çevre ilişkileri ünitesinde yer alan kazanımlarla ilgili araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 20 soruluk başarı testi uygulamadan önce ön test ve uygulamadan sonra son test şeklinde öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Bu araştırma süresi sonunda elde edilen bulgular insan ve çevre ilişkileri ünitesinin öğretilmesinde öğrencilerin akademik başarıları üzerinde bilgisayar destekli öğretim yönteminin müfredatın ön gördüğü öğretim yöntemine göre daha etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca gruplar için uygulanan yöntemlerle cinsiyet değişkeni arasında anlamlı farkın olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Sonuçlara bakılarak bilgisayar destekli öğretim yönteminin Fen bilimleri dersinde, özellikle soyut kavramlar içeren konularında, farklı ders ve kademelerde kullanılması önerilmektedir.

In this study, the effect of computer-aided instruction in the seventh grade human and environmental relations unit on the success of students was investigated. The research was planned according to the experimental and control group model. The study was carried out with 48 seventh grade students in Şehit Tarık Aydemir Regional Boarding School located in Karlıova district of Bingöl province in the second term of 2017-2018 academic year. The activities selected in accordance with the achievements in the human and environment relations unit were applied to the experimental group in a period of 16 hours with computer assisted teaching method. In the control group, the unit was planned by the science teacher in the same time as the activities of the Science curriculum. 20-item multiple-choice test was used to determine the validity and reliability of the study by the researcher. The KR-20 reliability coefficient of the achievement test was 0.78. The data obtained from the test were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 statistical program. At the end of this research period, it was determined that the computer aided teaching method was more effective on teaching the human and environment relations unit than the teaching method predicted by the curriculum. In addition, there was no significant difference between the methods used for the groups and the gender variable. According to the results, it is recommended to use the computer aided teaching method in the course of Science in different subjects and levels, especially in abstract concepts.
