MOBİL ÖĞRENME YÖNETİM SİSTEMİNİN ÖĞRENENLERİN AKADEMİK BAŞARISI VE TUTUMLARI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, "Bilgisayar-I" ders içeriğinin Moodle öğrenme yönetim sisteminin mobil arayüzü üzerinden öğrencilere sunulması ve öğrencilerin akademik başarısı ve tutumları üzerindeki etkililik düzeyinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda Moodle tabanlı bir Mobil Öğrenme Yönetim Sistemi (MOYS) sayfası tasarlanmıştır. Bu çalışmayla mevcut öğrenme ortamlarına alternatif bir öğrenme ortamı geliştirilmemiş, aksine bu ortamlara destek olmak için bu ortamlardaki öğrenmenin etkililiğinin artırılması hedeflenmiştir. Hazırlanan MOYS sayfasının öğrencilerin akademik başarısı ve tutumları üzerindeki etkisini ölçmek amacıyla Siirt Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencileriyle 9 haftalık bir uygulama çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma için deneysel araştırma modelinde, öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya, deney ve kontrol gruplarının eşit sayıda tutulduğu toplam 90 öğrenci katılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak akademik başarı testi ve mobil öğrenme tutum ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma analizleri sonucunda elde edilen akademik başarı öntest değerlerinde deney ve kontrol grupları arasında anlamlı bir fark görülmezken, sontest değerlerinde ise anlamlı farklılık görülmüştür. Sadece deney grubuna uygulanan mobil öğrenme tutum ölçeğinde ise öntest ve sontest sonuçlarında olumlu yönde tutum belirmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Öğrenme Yönetim Sistemi, Mobil Öğrenme, Moodle

In this study, it was intended to present students with "Computer-I" course content via the mobile interface of Moodle learning management system and determine the level of its effectiveness on students' academic achievement and attitudes. In this respect, a Moodle-based Mobile Learning Management System (MLMS) page was designed. An alternative learning environment wasn't developed to the current learning environment with this work. On the contrary, it was aimed to increase the effectiveness of these environments to support learning within this environment. In order to measure the impact of prepared MLMS page on students' academic achievement and attitudes, a 9-week application study was conducted with students at Faculty of Education of Siirt University. As for the research, pre-and post-test control group with the pattern in the experimental research model was used. A total of 90 students participated in the study in which test and control groups were kept in equal numbers. Mobile learning academic achievement test and attitude scale were used as data collection tools. While no significiance difference was found in the academic achievement pre-test values obtained as a result of research analysis between the experimental and control groups, significant differences were observed in the values of the post- test. Only in the mobile learning attitude scale applied to the experimental group a positive attitude emerged in the pre-and post-test results.
