dc.description.abstractAdını kurucusundan alan Roma imparatorluğu, Romulus öncülüğünde MÖ III. Yy'da bugünkü İtalya'da kurulmuştur. Roma imparatorluğunun ikiye bölünmesinden sonra merkezi günümüzdeki İstanbul olan Konstantinopolis'te Doğu Roma olarak bilinen Bizans( yaklaşık 10 asır devam etmiş) Osmanlı Devletinin 1453 tarihinde İstanbul'un fethi ile bu devlet nihayete ermiştir. Bu çalışmada Bizans İmparatorluğu (Doğu Roma) VI. Ve IX. Asırlar arasındaki devletin siyasi, askeri, ekonomik, dini ve kültürel yönlerden imparatoriçelerin taht üzerindeki etkileri imparatorluluğun kaderini belirleyecek kadar önemli roller üstlendikleri ifade edilmeye çalışılmıştır. İmparatoriçelerin Bizans tarihindeki yeri ve öneminin yanı sıra ortaçağda kadının toplum içerisindeki değeri açısından dikkate şayandır. İmparatoriçeler Bizans tahtında sadece kralın yanında yer alan bir kadın olmamakla birlikte Bizans siyasetinin yüzyıllarca etkisinden çıkmayacağı düşünce ve politikalar üretmişlerdir. dc.description.abstractThe Roman empire, named after its founder, led by Romulus III. It was founded in Italy in the present century. After the Roman empire was divided into two, Byzantine (which continued for about 10 centuries) known as East Roman in Constantinople, which is the center of today's Istanbul, came to an end with the conquest of Istanbul in 1453. In this study, Byzantine Empire (Eastern Rome) VI. And IX. The effects of empires on the throne in terms of political, military, economic, religious and cultural aspects of the state between the centuries were tried to be expressed as important enough to determine the fate of the empire. The place and importance of the Empress in Byzantine history, as well as the value of women in society in the Middle Ages is remarkable. Empresses were not only a woman on the Byzantine throne, but they produced ideas and policies that would not leave the influence of Byzantine politics for centuries.
