TÜRK ROMANINDA KÜLTÜRÜN METALAŞMASI SORUNU (1980-2000)

Abstract

1980-2000 yılları arasında yazılan Türk romanlarında, Türk toplumunun 1950'li yıllardan itibaren yaşadığı kültürel değişime dair izler dikkat çeker. Türkiye'nin yirminci yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren ekonomik anlamda Avrupa'ya açılması sonucu, üretim merkezleri kendine yeni pazar alanı bulur. Kapitalizmin üretimi zirveye taşıması ve bu ürünler için tüketim merkezi bulma çabası, Türkiye'de yaşam standartlarını ve kültürel formları derinden etkiler. Kültür, kolektif bilincin birikimi olarak süregelen ortak miras olma özelliğinden ayrıştırılır ve metayı merkeze alan yeni yaşam pratikleriyle şekillendirilir. Yazar, toplumun bir üyesi olarak siyasi ve ekonomik adımlarla perçinlenen bu süreçlerden doğrudan etkilenir. Toplumsal dönüşümü, sorunları aktarma kabiliyeti ile Türk toplumunun farklı kesimlerinden hareket ederek kültürün metalaşma süreçlerini çeşitli boyutlarıyla yansıtır. Kent hayatının çetrefilli ve boğucu yapısından, modern bireyin yeni yaşam biçimine sirayet eden meta tutkusunu neden-sonuç ilişkisi içinde göstermeye çalışan dönem romanları, insanın iç çelişkilerine ve derinliğine, önceki dönemlere nazaran daha fazla eğilir. In Turkish novels written between 1980 and 2000, traces of the cultural change experienced by Turkish society since the 1950s have been pointed out. As a result of Turkey's economic expansion to Europe since the second half of the twentieth century, production centers find new market areas. Capitalism's hitting production to the top and the effort to find a consumption center for these products deeply affect the living standards and cultural forms in Turkey. Culture is separated from the ongoing common heritage as the accumulation of collective consciousness and is shaped by new life practices that center the commodity. The author is directly affected by these processes, which are riveted by political and economic steps as a member of society. The author conveys the commodification processes of culture in various dimensions, acting from different segments of Turkish society, with his/her ability to reflect social transformation and problems. This period novel, which tries to show the passion for commodities that spread from the complicated and suffocating structure of urban life to the new life style of the modern individual, in a cause-effect relationship, focuses more on the inner contradictions and depth of the human being than the previous periods.
