KEDİLERDE DİSTAL HUMERUS KIRIKLARINDA ULNAR OSTEOTOMİ YAKLAŞIMIYLA OSTEOSENTEZİN KLASİK YAKLAŞIMLARA GÖRE AVANTAJ VE DEZAVANTAJLARI

Abstract

Bu çalışmada İstanbul ilinde Bulunan Galen Veteriner Kliniği'ne ve Fırat Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Cerrahi Ana Bilim Dalı'na, ön bacaklarında topallık şikâyetiyle getirilen kedilerde distal humerus kırıklarında ulnar osteotomi yaklaşımıyla osteosentezin klasik yaklaşımlara göre avantaj ve dezavantajlarının belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Çalışmada distal humerus kırığı bulunan kediler 2 (iki) ayrı grup altında değerlendirildi. Birinci gruptaki kedilerde (kontrol grubu, n=10) klasik kırık fikzasyon yöntemleri kullanılarak osteosentez yapıldı. İkinci grup kedilerin ise (deney grubu, n=10) ulnar osteotomi yöntemiyle yaklaşılarak osteotomileri yapıldı. Çalışmada farklı cerrahlar tarafından değerlendirilen radyografilerden elde edilen sonuçlar hasta kayıt formlarına kaydedildikten sonra iyileşme oranları yüzde değer olarak değerlendirilip karşılaştırıldı. Bu karşılaştırmalardan elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda; kedilerde distal humerus kırıklarında ulnar osteotomi yaklaşımıyla gerçekleştirilen osteosentezin, klasik yaklaşımlara göre daha kolay olduğu, bölgedeki sinirlere, damarlara ve tendonlara daha az hasar verildiği ve bu yöntemle iyileşme sürecinin diğer yöntemlere nazaran daha hızlı olduğu ve daha olumlu sonuçlar verd6ğ6 görüldü.

In this study, it was aimed to determine the advantages and disadvantages of osteosynthesis with the ulnar osteotomy approach compared to classical approaches in distal humerus fractures in cats brought to the Galen Veterinary Clinic in Istanbul and Fırat Unıversty Veterinary Faculty Department of Surgery with complaints of lameness in the front legs. In the study, cats with distal humerus fractures were evaluated in 2 (two) separate groups. Osteosynthesis was performed using classical fracture fixation methods in the cats in the first group (control group, n = 10). In the second group of cats (experimental group, n=10), osteosynthesis were performed after using the ulnar osteotomy method. In the study, the results obtained from the radiographs evaluated by different surgeons were recorded in the patient registration forms, and the recovery rates were evaluated and compared as percentage values. In line with the results obtained from these comparisons; It was concluded that osteosynthesis with the ulnar osteotomy approach in distal humerus fractures in cats is easier than classical approaches, less damage is caused to the nerves, vessels and tendons in the region, and thus healing is faster and more successful.
