KORONAVİRÜS (COVID-19) PANDEMİSİNİN MAKRO EKONOMİK DEĞİŞKENLER ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİLERİNİN TÜRKİYE EKONOMİSİ AÇISINDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Geçmişten günümüze küreselleşen dünyada küresel salgınların her geçen gün arttığı görülmektedir. Covid-19 salgını, artan salgın hastalıklar arasında bulunan 1918 yılında ortaya çıkan İspanyol gribinden bu yana en fazla maliyeti bulunan küresel hastalıklardan biri olmuştur. Salgının bulunduğu bölgeyi aşarak kıtalara yayılması salgının pandemik boyuta ulaşmasına sebep olmuş yaşanan bu durum daha çok sosyal hayatı, insan sağlığını ve ekonomileri olumsuz yönde etkilemiştir. Pandemik salgınların genellikle arz ve talep yanlı küresel ekonomik etkilerinin olduğu bilinmektedir. Covid-19 salgını Türkiye'de 2020 yılının mart ayı itibariyle görülmüştür. Yapılan araştırmalar kapsamında salgının kavramsal boyutu değerlendirilmiş, ülke ekonomisine olan etkileri sektörel kapsamlı olarak değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Geçmiş dönemlerde yaşanan ölümcül virüslerin bıraktığı etkiler değerlendirilerek yakın dönemde ortaya çıkan Covid-19 salgınının bıraktığı etki ölçülmüştür. Salgının gerek insan sağlığına gerek ülke ekonomisine olan etkileri makroekonomik değişkenler göz önünde bulundurularak değerlendirilmeye alınmıştır. Çalışmanın son analizinde covid-19 salgınının Türkiye ekonomisindeki sermaye piyasalarına ve makroekonomik değişkenleri üzerine olan olumsuz etkileri araştırılmıştır. In the globalizing world from past to present, it is seen that global epidemics are increasing day by day. The Covid-19 epidemic has been one of the most costly global diseases since the Spanish flu that emerged in 1918, which is among the increasing epidemic diseases. The spread of the epidemic to the continents, beyond the region where the epidemic is located, caused the epidemic to reach a pandemic dimension, and this situation had a negative impact on social life, human health and economies. It is known that pandemic epidemics generally have global economic effects on the supply and demand side. The Covid-19 outbreak was seen in Turkey as of March 2020. Within the scope of the researches, the conceptual dimension of the epidemic was evaluated and its effects on the country's economy were evaluated in a sectoral scope. By evaluating the used effects of heavy viruses experienced in the past, the effect of the recently emerged Covid-19 epidemic was measured. The effects of the epidemic on both human health and the country's economy were evaluated by considering macroeconomic variables. In the final analysis of the study, the negative effects of the covid-19 epidemic on the capital markets and macroeconomic variables in the Turkish economy were investigated.
