ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ATANAMAMA KAYGILARI İLE ÖĞRETMENLİK MESLEĞİNE YÖNELİK TUTUMLARI ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının atanamama kaygıları ile öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Mezuniyet sonrası istihdam sürecinde yaşanan belirsizliklerin öğretmen adaylarının mesleki geleceklerine ilişkin kaygılarını artırdığı ve mesleğe yönelik tutumlarını etkileyebildiği düşüncesinden hareketle, çalışmada atanamama kaygısı ile öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlar arasındaki ilişki ele alınmıştır. Araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeliyle yürütülmüştür. Evrenini Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının oluşturduğu çalışmanın örneklemi, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme tekniği ile belirlenen birinci ve dördüncü sınıfta öğrenim gören toplam 733 öğretmen adayından oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama sürecinde "Öğretmen Adaylarına Yönelik Atanamama Kaygısı Ölçeği", "Öğretmenlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği" ve kişisel bilgi formu kullanılmış; veriler SPSS 22 programı aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada, betimsel istatistiklerin yanı sıra değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemek amacıyla uygun istatistiksel testler kullanılmıştır. Bulgulara göre öğretmen adaylarının atanamama kaygıları ve öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumları; cinsiyet, bölüm, yerleşim birimi ile anne ve baba eğitim durumu gibi demografik değişkenlere göre anlamlı farklılıklar göstermektedir. Atanamama kaygısı ile öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlar arasında düşük düzeyde pozitif yönlü anlamlı ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Bu bulgu, iki değişken arasında sınırlı bir birlikteliğe işaret etmekte olup öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumların tek bir değişkenle açıklanamayacak kadar çok boyutlu bir yapı sergilediğini düşündürmektedir. Gelecek araştırmalarda cinsiyete göre gözlenen farklılıkların toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve mesleki gelecek algısı bağlamında ele alınması; yaş değişkeninin ise mezuniyet sonrası bekleme süresi ve sınava girme sayısı gibi değişkenlerle birlikte incelenmesi önerilmektedir.The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between prospective teachers' anxieties about not being appointed and their attitudes towards the teaching profession. Based on the premise that uncertainties experienced during the post-graduation employment process increase prospective teachers' anxieties about their professional future and can affect their attitudes towards the profession, this study investigates the relationship between anxiety about not being appointed and attitudes towards the teaching profession. The research was conducted using a correlational survey model, a quantitative research method. The population consisted of prospective teachers studying at the Faculty of Education of Fırat University. The sample comprised a total of 733 prospective teachers studying in the first and fourth years, selected using the criterion sampling technique, a purposeful sampling method. The "Anxiety Scale of Prospective Teachers About Not Being Appointed," the "Attitude Scale Towards the Teaching Profession," and a personal information form were used in the data collection process; the data were analyzed using SPSS 22 software. In addition to descriptive statistics, appropriate statistical tests were used to determine the relationships between the variables. According to the findings, prospective teachers' anxieties about not being appointed and their attitudes towards the teaching profession show significant differences according to demographic variables such as gender, department, place of residence, and parents' educational level. A low-level positive significant correlation was found between anxiety about not being appointed and attitudes towards the teaching profession. This finding indicates a limited association between the two variables and suggests that attitudes towards the teaching profession exhibit a multidimensional structure that cannot be explained by a single variable. Future research is recommended to examine gender and age factors along with perceptions of career prospects and post-graduation processes.
