BİLİŞİM ETİĞİ KONUSUNDA GELİŞTİRİLEN BİLGİSAYAR DESTEKLİ ÖĞRETİM MATERYALİNİN ORTAÖĞRETİM ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN ETİK OLMAYAN BİLGİSAYAR KULLANIM DÜZEYLERİNE ETKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada bilişim etiği konusunda geliştirilen bilgisayar destekli öğretim materyalinin ortaöğretim düzeyinde eğitim gören bilişim teknolojileri alanı öğrencilerinin etik olmayan bilgisayar kullanım davranışlarına etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma grubu olarak Elazığ ilinde ortaöğretim düzeyinde eğitim gören 31 bilişim teknolojileri alanı öğrencisi belirlenmiştir. Öğrenciler seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi ile I. deney grubu, II. deney grubu ve kontrol grubu olarak üç gruba ayrılmıştır. Tüm öğrenci gruplarına ön test yapıldıktan sonra I. ve II. deney grubu öğrencilere konu ile ilgili sunuş yoluyla öğretim tekniği ile eğitim verilmiştir. Geliştirilen bilgisayar destekli öğretim materyali, eğitimlerle eş zamanlı olarak II. deney grubu öğrencilerine 6 (altı) hafta süre ile uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubu öğrencilere sadece ön test ve son test yapılmıştır. Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden deneysel model, verilerin toplanmasında örneklem ve kontrollü ön test son test modeli seçilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak Namlu ve Odabaşı (2007) tarafından geliştirilen Etik Olmayan Bilgisayar Kullanım Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmalar neticesinde elde edilen verilerin yapılan test sonucuna göre dağılımının normallik gösterdiği ve varyansların homojen dağıldığı görülmüştür. Bulguların incelenmesi yönteminde örneklem gruplarının az sayıda olması nedeniyle sonuçlarda sapma olmaması için parametrik olmayan testlerden Kruskal - Wallis H ve Mann - Whitney U testleri kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgularda farklılığın hangi grup lehine olduğunun belirlenmesi amacıyla grupların ikili karşılaştırılması Mann - Whitney U testi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında geliştirilen bilgisayar destekli öğretim materyalinin öğrencilerin etik olmayan bilgisayar kullanım düzeylerinde azalma sağladığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In this study, it is aimed to examine the effect of computer-assisted teaching material developed on informatics ethics on unethical computer use behaviors of students in the field of information technology at secondary education level. As the study group, 31 information technology students studying at secondary education level in the province of Elazig were determined. The students were seperated three group I.experimental group, II.experimental group and the control group by using random sampling medhod. After making a pre-testing all student groups, I. and II. Experimental group students were trained with the expository teaching approach about the subject. II.experimental group students were applied to developed computer aided teaching material, as simultaneously with the trainings, throughout 6 (six) weeks. The control group students were applied only pre-test and post-test. In the study, the experimental model, which is one of the quantitative research methods and sample and controlled pre-test and post-test model which is data collections were selected. The Unethical Computer Use Scale was used as a data collection tool developed by Namlu and Odabaşı (2007). As a result of the research, it was seen that the distribution of the data obtained showed normality according to the test result and the variances were distributed homogeneously. In the method of examining the findings, Kruskal - Wallis H and Mann - Whitney U tests, which are non-parametric tests, were used to avoid deviations in the results due to the small number of sample groups. Pairwise comparison of the groups was made with the Mann - Whitney U test in order to determine which group the difference was in countenance of obtained findings. It was concluded that the computer-assisted instructional material developed within the scope of the research provided a decrease in the unethical computer use levels of the students.
