UZAKTAN VE ÖRGÜN EĞİTİM ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN EĞİTSEL DÜŞÜNCE VE UYGULAMALARI

Abstract

Her insan bir yaşam felsefesine sahip olduğu gibi eğitim hakkında da felsefi bir düşünceye sahiptir. Eğitim felsefesinde önemli olan, eğitim sürecinde yer alan kişilerin eğitime yükledikleri anlamlar, düşünceler ve uygulamalarıdır. Bu kapsamda uzaktan ve örgün eğitim öğrencilerinin eğitsel düşünce ve uygulamalarının belirlenmesi giderek artan uzaktan eğitim uygulamaları için önem kazanmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı uzaktan eğitim ve örgün eğitim öğrencilerinin eğitsel düşünce ve uygulamalarının değerlendirilmesidir. Bu genel amaç çerçevesinde öğrencilerin cinsiyet, yaş, öğrenim durumları, kendine ait bilgisayar ve internet bağlantısı olma, internete erişim amaçlı internet kafe kullanma, internete okulda erişim sağlama, internete evlerinde erişim sağlama, internete iş yerinde erişim sağlama, internete cep telefonundan erişim sağlama, derslerine hazırlanırken interneti kullanma, uzaktan eğitim bilgilerinin olması, uzaktan eğitim ile ders almış olma, ders almak istedikleri ortam tercihleri durumlarına göre görüşlerinin değişip değişmediği araştırılmıştır. Bu araştırmada tarama modellerinden biri olan genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni içinden kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi yöntemi kullanılarak Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi'nde öğrenim gören 198 ve uzaktan eğitime kayıtlı 83 olmak üzere, toplam 281 öğrenci seçilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak kişisel veriler anketi yanı sıra 42 maddeden oluşan Eğitsel Düşünce ve Uygulamaları Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Bu ölçek aracılığıyla elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 veri çözümleme programıyla çözümlenmiştir. Normallik testlerinden kolmogorov-smirnov değerine bakılmıştır. Buna göre veriler normal dağılım gösterdiğinden parametrik testler uygulanmıştır. Bu kapsamda verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde, t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), Post Hoc Scheffe testleri uygulanmıştır. Analizler p<.05 anlamlılık derecesine göre yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda örgün eğitim ile uzaktan eğitim öğrencileri arasında öğrenim durumları baz alındığında anlamlı bir farklılık oluşmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ancak öğrenim durumları değişkeninde eğitim fakültesi lisans öğrencilerinin özellikle geleneksel eğitim anlayışı boyutu ve ölçek toplam puanında olumsuz cevaplar vererek geleneksel eğitim anlayışıyla ilgili ölçek maddelerine katılmadıkları belirlenmiştir.Individuals have a philosophy of life as well as educational philosophy. What is important in the educational philosophy is the meanings, thoughts and practices individuals impose on education. In this context, determination of educational thinking and practices of distance and formal education students is gaining importance for increasing distance education applications. The aim of this study is to evaluate educational thinking and applications of students of distance education and students of formal education. Within the framework of this general purpose, students' gender, age, education level, ownership of a computer, internet access, internet access locations (internet café, home, school, work place, through mobile phone), knowledge level about distance education, distance education experiences were investigated whether each affects their views. Convenience sampling method was used for participation selection. A total of 281 students were recruited (198 students registered to Department of Education at Fırat University and 83 Department of Distance Education). For data collection, Educational Thought and Applications Scale was used. The scale has 42 items. The data obtained from this scale were analyzed by SPSS 22.0 data analysis programs. Kolmogorov-Smirnov value was evaluated from normality tests. Expected normal distribution was observed; thus, parametric tests were applied for analysis purposes. Frequencies, percentages, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Post Hoc Scheffe tests were applied. The findings were interpreted according to p <.05 significance level. As a result of the study, it was concluded that there was no significant difference between formal education and distance education students based on their educational status. However, formal education students stated that they did not agree on items specifically in traditional education factor of the scale.
