ZAMAN KULLANIMINA MÜKEMMELİYETÇİ DAVRANIŞIN ETKİSİNE YÖNELİK BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı; zaman kullanımında mükemmeliyetçi davranışın etkisini ölçmektir. Ayrıca; çalışmada öğrencilerin mükemmeliyetçilik ve zaman yönetimi eğilimlerinin genel not ortalamasına göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, araştırma 2013-2014 bahar yarıyılında Türkiye'de yer alan Fırat Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler fakültesine devam eden 423'ü kız ile 243'ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 666 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada, hipotezlerin test edilmesinde, çoklu regresyon analizi ve çok değişkenli ANOVA testi kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca veriler ortalama, standart sapma, yüzde ve frekanslar verilerek özetlenmiştir.Araştırma sonucunda, mükemmeliyetçilik faktörlerinin zaman yönetimi faktörlerini negatif veya pozitif yönde etkilediği görülmüştür. Genel not ortalaması ile zaman yönetimi ve mükemmeliyetçilik faktörleri arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Mükemmeliyetçilik faktörlerinden düzen odaklı organizasyon, kişisel standartlar ve başarı odaklı hatalara aşırı ilgi faktörlerinin genel not ortalamasına göre farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Zaman yönetimi faktörlerinden, kısa vadeli planlama ve olumlu (aktif) zaman tutumu, kısa vadeli planlama ve uzun vadeli planlama faktörlerinin genel not ortalamasına göre farklılaştığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca araştırma sonucuna göre çeşitli önerilerde de bulunulmuştur. Anahtar Kelimeler: Zaman, zaman yönetimi, mükemmeliyetçilik, genel not ortalaması.

The main objective of this study: measuring the effect of perfectionist behaviours in the use of time. Furthermore; it's aimed to determine the perfectionism and time management tendencies of students, and whether these tendencies are changing in terms of grade point average. 423 female students and 243 male students of the Firat University, Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences at a state university in Turkey, in total 666 students were subject to this research in the schoolyear 2013- 2014. The multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and the multivariate ANOVA test have been applied in the study. Moreover, the data has been summarized with averages, standart deviations, percentages, and frequencies. At the end of the study it has been observed that the perfectionism factors effected the time management negatively or positively. Significant differences were found between the grade point average and time management, and perfectionism factors. Significant differencies were found between grade point average, time management, and perfectionism factors. It's monitored that perfectionism factors like order-focussed organisation, personal standards and fetish for succes-focussed faults display differencies in accordance with grade point average. It was monitored that differencies had emerged in time management factors like short-ranged scheduling and positive ( active) time behaviour, short-ranged scheduling and positive (active) time management. Besides, various suggestions were found in accordance with the results of the research. Key words: Time, time management, grade point average, perfectionism
