The Investigation of Cooling Outdoor Areas with Misting System by Using Photovoltaic Panels

dc.description.abstractIn this study, two different open areas (arbor and balcony) in Elazig for solar-assisted cooling with misting system has been established. Here, we present a system that reduces interior temperature of the arbor and balcony while increasing humidity. Provided temperature drops were monitored using a thermal camera. During the experiments the maximum difference between the arbor and the balcony in temperature and ambient temperature was found to be approximately 20 degrees C. Solar cell of efficiency and fill factor calculated by numerical methods 73.71%, and 17:12, respectively, these values have been demonstrated to be consistent with the literature. Misting system is extremely environmentally friendly, and economical advantages are presented at the end of the study.
