MEVLÂNÂ CELÂLEDDÎN RÛMÎ DÜŞÜNCESİNDE RUH VE ÖLÜMSÜZLÜK

Abstract

Türk-İslam âleminin mutasavvıflarından olan Mevlânâ Celâleddîn Rumî, Anadolu'da yetişen ve düşünceleriyle farklı coğrafyalarda etkili olan bir düşünürdür. O, temel dayanağını Kur'an öğretileri ve nebevi gelenekler üzerine inşa ettiği düşüncelerini, rasyonel çıkarımlardan ziyade dini tecrübe ve zengin bir sembolizm dilini kullanarak ifade etmeye çalışmıştır. Mevlânâ Celâleddîn Rumî, soyut bir cevher olarak kabul ettiği ruhun mahiyetini ve sonsuzluk anlayışını somutlaştırmak için hikâyelere, metaforlara ve şiirsel bir anlatıma başvurmuştur. O, ruhun ölümsüzlüğe erişmesindeki yegâne vasıta olarak gördüğü 'aşk' kavramı üzerinden insana bir kurtuluş reçetesi sunduğunu düşünmektedir. Bu bağlamda ölümü biyolojik bir yok oluş değil; ruhun beden kafesinden azat olup aslına rücu ettiği bir 'vuslat' (kavuşma) ve ebedi hayata geçiş kapısı olarak nitelendirir. Çalışmada, Mevlânâ Celâleddîn Rumî'nin bu ölümsüz ruh tasavvurunun temelleri irdelenmiş ve Din Felsefesi perspektifinden analiz etmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmanın temel amacı, Mevlânâ Celâleddîn Rumî'nin eserlerinde ruhun ontolojik konumunu ve ölüm sonrası varoluşun niteliğini nasıl temellendirdiğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda öncelikle düşünce tarihindeki filozofların konu bağlamındaki tasavvurlarına değinilmiş; ardından Mevlânâ Celâleddîn Rumî'nin hayatı, yaşadığı dönem, eserleri ve felsefi alt yapısı ele alınmıştır. Son olarak onun 'ruh' ve 'ölümsüzlük' anlayışı ile bu iki olgu arasında bir köprü vazifesi olarak gördüğü 'ölüm' gerçeği detaylandırılarak çalışma sonlandırılmıştır.

Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, one of the mystics of the Turkish-Islamic world, is a thinker who grew up in Anatolia and whose ideas influenced different geographies. He sought to express his thoughts, which he built upon the teachings of the Quran and prophetic traditions, not through rational inferences, but through religious experience and a rich language of symbolism. To concretize the nature of the soul, which he considered an abstract essence, and his understanding of eternity, Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi resorted to stories, metaphors, and poetic expression. He believed that he offered humanity a recipe for salvation through the concept of 'love,' which he saw as the sole means for the soul to attain immortality. In this context, he characterized death not as a biological annihilation, but as a 'reunion' (reunion) where the soul is freed from the cage of the body and returns to its origin, a gateway to eternal life. This study examines the foundations of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi's conception of the immortal soul and attempts to analyze it from the perspective of Philosophy of Religion. The main aim of the research is to reveal how Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi grounds the ontological position of the soul and the nature of existence after death in his works. To this end, the study first addresses the conceptions of philosophers in the history of thought on this subject; then, it examines Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi's life, the period in which he lived, his works, and his philosophical background. Finally, the study concludes by detailing his understanding of 'soul' and 'immortality' and the reality of 'death,' which he sees as a bridge between these two phenomena.
