KESİRLER KONUSUNUN GÖRSEL MATERYAL İLE ÖĞRENİMİNİN İLKOKUL ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN MATEMATİK BAŞARISINA VE TUTUMUNA ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, görsel materyal ile kesirler konusunun öğretiminin ilkokul öğrencilerinin matematik başarısına ve tutumuna etkisini araştırmaktır. Çalışma 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında Bingöl ili Solhan ilçesinde bulunan Hazarşah Yeni Yerleşim İlköğretim Okulunun 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini deney grubunda 20, kontrol grubunda 18 olmak üzere 38 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma ön test- son test eşitlenmemiş kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel yöntem kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada ilkokul öğrencilerinde kesirler konusunun görsel materyal ile öğrenilmesinin öğrenci başarısına etkisini görmek için Kesirler Başarı Testi (KBT) ve matematik tutumuna etkisini görmek için matematik tutum ölçeği ön test, son test olarak kullanılmıştır. Kesirler Başarı Testi ilkokul matematik ders kitaplarında yer alan çoktan seçmeli 20 sorudan oluşmaktadır. Uygulanan tutum ölçeği MEB tarafından dağıtılan İlkokul Matematik Öğretmen Kılavuz kitaplarında yer alan 12 maddeli Matematik Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeğidir. Bu ölçme araçlarından elde edilen veriler istatistiksel analiz yöntemleri kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizini yapmak için SPSS (Static Package for the Social Science) istatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre görsel materyal ile öğretim yapılan deney grubunun matematik başarısının ve tutumunun, diğer öğretim yöntemleriyle öğretim yapan kontrol grubunun matematik başarısına ve tutumuna göre arttığı tespit edilmiştir. The aim of this search is to investigate the effect of teaching visual fractions on primary school students mathematical success and attitude. In 2013/2014 academic year this research was carried out with the students of the 4th grade students in Hazarşah Yeni Yerleşim Primary School in the city of Solhan in Bingöl province. The somple of the research group consists of 38 students, 18 of wihch are in the control group and 20 are in the experimental mental method was applied pre-test past test un equal. In order to see the effects of learning the subject of fractions in the Primary school students with the visual materials a cording to mathematical attitude scale fraction achivement test used for mathematics attitude and pre test past test scale. Fractions achievement test consists of 20 multiple choise questions in primary schoolö text boks. The attitude scale is used fort he 12 items mathematics lesson that is included in the primary school mathematics teacher quide book distributed by the Minister of National Education. The data abtained from these measurement tools were evaluated using statistical analysis methods. SPSS (Static Package fort he Social Science) statistical package program was used to maket he abtained data analysis. Acording to the findings of the research, it was determined that the mathematical group with the visual material and the attitude of the control group increaded with respect to the mathematical success and attitude of the control group teaching with other teaching methods.
