LİSE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN YETENEKLERİNİN İZLENMESİ VE MESLEKİ OLARAK YÖNLENDİRİLMESİ İÇİN BİR WEB UYGULAMASININ GELİŞTİRİLMESİ VE ETKİNLİĞİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, lise öğrencilerinin bireysel yeteneklerini geliştirilen web tabanlı bir yazılım uygulamasıyla izlemek, akademik ve mesleki gelişimlerini desteklemek ve uygulanabilir bir web/mobil sistemin kullanılabilirliğini ve etkinliğini değerlendirmektir. Bu doğrultuda geliştirilen web tabanlı sistem, Microsoft ASP.NET, Web API ve SQL Server teknolojileri kullanılarak oluşturulmuş; kullanıcı oturum yönetimi, veri toplama ve süreç izleme özellikleriyle yapılandırılmıştır. Bu sistem, öğrencilerin çok boyutlu yeteneklerinin belirlenmesine, uygun öğretim yöntemlerinin seçilmesine ve öğrenme performanslarının süreç boyunca takip edilmesine imkân sağlamaktadır. Araştırmada, geliştirilen yetenek takibi sisteminin etkililiğini belirlemek amacıyla ön test–son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmış; veri toplama sürecinde iki temel ölçme aracından yararlanılmıştır. İlk olarak, çoklu zekâ ölçeği uygulanarak öğrencilerin baskın zekâ alanları belirlenmiş ve bu doğrultuda matematik dersine yönelik özelleştirilmiş ödevler verilmiştir. Öğrencilerin performans notlarındaki değişim, sistem üzerinden izlenmiştir. İkinci olarak, Mesleki Karar Envanteri uygulanarak katılımcıların mesleki kararsızlık düzeyleri belirlenmiş; envanterin beş alt boyutu temel alınarak, ilgili alt boyutta mesleki kararsızlığı azaltmaya yönelik olarak yapılandırılan dört oturumdan oluşan eğitim içerikleri web uygulaması aracılığıyla sunulmuştur. Bu kapsamda, yapılandırılan oturumların öğrencilerin mesleki kararsızlık düzeylerini azaltmadaki etkililiği ile çoklu zekâ alanlarına göre özelleştirilen ödevlerin akademik başarıyı destekleyip desteklemediği incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, deney ve kontrol gruplarına uygulanan ön test ve son test ölçümleri karşılaştırılmış; akademik başarı ve mesleki kararsızlık değişkenlerine ilişkin veriler, geliştirilen web tabanlı yetenek takibi sistemi üzerinden izlenerek analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulguları, geliştirilen web tabanlı sistemin öğrencilerin hem akademik başarılarını artırdığını hem de mesleki kararsızlık düzeyini düşürmede istatistiksel olarak anlamlı katkılar sağladığını göstermektedir.

The aim of this research is to monitor the individual abilities of high school students using a web-based software application, support their academic and professional development, and evaluate the usability and effectiveness of a viable web/mobile system. The web-based system developed for this purpose was created using Microsoft ASP.NET, Web API, and SQL Server technologies; it is structured with user session management, data collection, and process monitoring features. This system allows for the identification of students' multifaceted abilities, the selection of appropriate teaching methods, and the monitoring of their learning performance throughout the process. In order to determine the effectiveness of the developed talent tracking system, a quasi-experimental pre-test–post-test control group design was used in the study; two main measurement tools were utilized in the data collection process. First, the multiple intelligence scale was administered to determine the students' dominant intelligence areas, and customized assignments were given for mathematics lessons accordingly. Changes in students' academic performance scores were monitored through the system. Second, the Career Decision Inventory was applied to assess participants' levels of career indecision. Based on the five sub-dimensions of the inventory, four structured instructional sessions were designed to reduce career indecision in the relevant domains and delivered via the web-based application. Within this framework, the effectiveness of the structured sessions in reducing students' career indecision levels and the extent to which intelligence-based customized assignments supported academic achievement were investigated. Pretest and posttest measurements obtained from the experimental and control groups were compared, and data related to academic achievement and career indecision were monitored and analyzed through the developed web-based talent tracking system. The study's findings show that the developed web-based system both improves students' academic performance and makes a statistically significant contribution to reducing their level of career indecision.
