SURİYELİLERDE TRAVMA SONRASI STRES, TRAVMA SONRASI BÜYÜME VE DİN

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, savaş sonrası Türkiye'ye yerleşen Suriyelilerin dini tutum, travma sonrası stres ve travma sonrası büyüme düzeylerini belirlemek ve bunlar arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmaya Diyarbakır merkez ilçelerinde ikamet eden 18 yaş ve üzeri 301 kişi dahil edilmiştir. Araştırmada nicel araştırma tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Örneklem grubundaki bireylere öncelikle doğum tarihi, doğum yeri, cinsiyetleri, medeni durumları, eğitim durumları, ekonomik durumları, Türkiye'de bulunma süreleri, herhangi bir saldırıya tanık olup olmadıkları, savaş sırasında yakınlarının zarar görüp görmedikleri gibi soruların yer aldığı kişisel bilgi formu sunulmuştur. Travma Sonrası Stres düzeyini ölçmek için Horowitz ve arkadaşları tarafından geliştirilen, Weiss ve Marmar tarafından DSM-IV travma sonrası stres bozukluğu ölçütlerine göre tekrar gözden geçirilen ve Çorapçıoğlu ve arkadaşları tarafından Türkçe'ye uyarlanan Olayların Etkisi Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Travma Sonrası Büyüme düzeyini ölçmek için Tedeschi ve Calhoun tarafından geliştirilen Travma Sonrası Büyüme Ölçeği ile dini tutum düzeyini ölçmek için ise Üzeyir OK tarafından geliştirilen Dini Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizleri IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 paket programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizi için frekans dağılımı, independent simple t-testi, ANOVA ve pearson korelasyon analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Farklı iki değişken arasındaki ilişkinin anlamlı olup olmadığını anlamak için independent simple t-test, ikiden fazla değişken arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek için Oneway ANOVA'dan faydalanılmıştır. Bunların haricinde iki sürekli değişken arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek için de Pearson korelasyon analizine başvurulmuştur. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuca göre bireylerin travma sonrası stres düzeyleri arttıkça bireylerin travma sonrası büyüme düzeylerinin de arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca travma sonrası stres düzeyi arttıkça bireylerin dini tutum düzeylerinin de arttığı bulgulanmıştır. Yine travma sonrası büyüme düzeyi yüksek bireylerin dini tutum düzeylerinin de yüksek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.The aim of this study is to determine the religious attitudes, post-traumatic stress and post-traumatic growth levels of Syrians who settled in Turkey after the war and to examine the relationship between them. 301 people aged 18 and over residing in the central districts of Diyarbakır were included in the study. Quantitative research techniques were used in the study. The individuals in the sample group were first presented with a personal information form that included questions such as date of birth, place of birth, gender, marital status, educational status, economic status, length of stay in Turkey, whether they witnessed any attack, whether their relatives were harmed during the war. The Impact of Events Scale, developed by Horowitz et al., revised by Weiss and Marmar according to the DSM-IV criteria for post-traumatic stress disorder, and adapted into Turkish by Çorapçıoğlu et al., was used to measure the level of Post Traumatic Stress. The Post Traumatic Growth Scale developed by Tedeschi and Calhoun was used to measure the level of Post Traumatic Growth, and the Religious Attitude Scale developed by Üzeyir OK was used to measure the level of religious attitude. The analysis of the data obtained in the research was made using the IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 package program. Frequency distribution, independent simple t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis were used for data analysis. Independent simple t-test was used to understand whether the relationship between two different variables was significant, and Oneway ANOVA was used to examine the relationship between more than two variables. Apart from these, Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship between two continuous variables. According to the results obtained in the study, it was determined that as the post-traumatic stress levels of the individuals increased, the post-traumatic growth levels of the individuals also increased. In addition, it was found that as the level of post-traumatic stress increased, the religious attitude levels of individuals also increased. It was also concluded that individuals with high post-traumatic growth levels also have high levels of religious attitudes.
