İBN MİSKEVEYH'İN TECÂRİBÜ'L-ÜMEM VE TEÂKUBÜ'L-HİMEM'İ

Abstract

Bir filozof olarak öne çıkan ve aynı zamanda önemli bir tarihçi olan İbn Miskeveyh (h. 320-421 / m. 932-1030) genel tarih eseri olan Tecâribü'l-Ümem'i yazmıştır. Bir edip tavrıyla tasnif ettiği eser, muhaddislerin yazdığı tarih eserlerinden farklılık arz etmektedir.Eser hicri IV. asır için birinci el kaynak konumundadır. Bunu yanı sıra eserde, tarih konusunda yeni ilkeler ortaya konulmuştur. Siyasi, iktisadi, askeri konular ve toplumsal yapı öne çıkarılmıştır. Eserde göze çarpan diğer bir husus ise tenkit metoduyla eserin yazılmış olmasıdır. Gerçekçi bir yaklaşımla yazılan tarih eseri, aynı zamanda ahlaki açıdan okuyucuyu eğitmeyi de amaçlamıştır.

Known as a philosopher and also an important historian Ibn Miskawaih (320-421/932-1030) wrote Tajarib al-Umam his general work of history. The work that he classified like a savant?s (adîp) attitude differs from other historic works which had been written by traditionists (muhaddith).The work is in the position of first hand source for the IV. Century (A.H.). On the other hand the new principles were designated and political, economic, military matters and social structure discussed in the work. Being written by criticism method is another feature of the book. The work which written by a realistic approach also aimed educating readers with moral aspects.
