| dc.description.abstract | In this study, the effectiveness of two design codes is investigated by using experimental test results of two types of RC structures based on the nonlinear seismic responses. The Displacement-based Fiber Element Approach is used for numerical solutions. The material properties are established according to ACI-318 and TS 500 for concrete. The material properties of the cases which provide the best approximation to the experimental results are determined. The effectiveness of the equations suggested in the design codes to determine the elastic modulus and the tensile strength of concrete is investigated for the determined case. | |
