ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ FEN VE TEKNOLOJİ LABORATUVARINA İLİŞKİN GÖRÜŞLERİ VE BİLİM OKUR-YAZARLIĞI

Abstract

Bilindiği gibi fen ve teknoloji dersi yaşam boyu öğrenme alanında bu alana en fazla yatkın olan disiplinlerden bir tanesidir. Öyle ki fen ve teknoloji dersi ve bu derse giren öğretmenlerimizin bu hayat boyu öğrenme kavramını geleceğin büyükleri olan gençlerimize bu olguyu aşılama gibi bir görevi de mevcuttur. İşte tüm bu görev ve önemin farkında olan bir dersin öğretmeninin yaşam boyu öğrenmenin temelinde var olan bilgi, bilimsellik ve bilim okuryazarlığıyla beraber fen derslerinin temel yapıtaşı ve olmazsa olmazı olan fen laboratuvarı uygulamalarını göz ardı etmek bu derse ve gelecek nesillere karşı yapılmış bir haksızlık olur. Fen ve teknoloji dersine girmeye yetkili sınıf ile fen ve teknoloji öğretmen adaylarının bilim okur yazarlığı ve laboratuvara ilişkin görüşlerine yer verilen bu çalışma fen ve teknoloji dersinin amaçlarına uygun bir öğretimin yapılmasına ve bu konuda üzerine görev düşen kurum ve kişilere yardımcı olması amacıyla hazırlanmıştır.Araştırmada, öğretmen adaylarının bilimsel okur yazarlıkları ile laboratuara ilişkin görüşlerine yer verildiği bu çalışmada literatür çalışması ve araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan bilimsel okur yazarlık (B.O.Y.) ve laboratuara ilişkin görüşler (L.İ.G.) anketleri ile öğretmen adaylarının demografik özellikleri ile ilgili bağımlı değişkenlerini saptamak üzere ?Kişisel Bilgiler Anketi? kullanılmıştır. Toplamda 59 madde 132 öğretmen adayına uygulanmıştır.Araştırma sonunda elde edilen veriler, özelliklerine uygun istatiksel teknikler kullanılarak bilgisayar ortamında SPSS 12.0 (Statistical Package for The Social Sciences) paket programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde, t-testi, ve çapraz tablolar kullanılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Fen Eğitimi, Bilimsel Okur Yazarlık, Fen Laboratuvarı

As known, science and technology subject is one of the disciplines which is the closest field in the field of long-life learning. Therefore, science and technology subject and the teachers who teach this subject have the responsibility to inject this fact to the youth who will be the adults in the future. So ignoring a teacher who is aware of the knowledge, academic and science literacy which lies in the foundation of long-life learning and the science laboratory applications will be unjust for this subject and the next generations. In this research, the views of the nominate class and science and technology teachers who have the authority to teach science and technology are given and this research was made to help the institutions and person who have the responsibility of teaching science and technology subject in accordance with the goal of this subject .In the study, investigating the scientific literacy of teacher candidates and their views on the laboratory, researcher prepared the scientific literacy (BOY) and opinions about the laboratory (L.İ.G.) surveys by regarding the pertinent literature and used "Personal Information Questionnaire" to obtain demographic characteristics of teacher candidates related to the dependent variables. In total 59 items was administered to 132 teacher candidates.The data obtained at the end of the research were analyzed by use of statistical techniques appropriate for their characteristics, and SPSS 12.0 (Statistical Package for The Social Sciences) package programme in computer environment. In data analyses, frequency, percentage, independent simple t-testi and crosstabs were used.Key words: Science Education, Science Literacy, Science Laboratory.
