YENİCE'NİN (TARSUS-MERSİN) NÜFUS VE YERLEŞME ÖZELLİKLERİ

Abstract

Nüfus ve yerleşme ilişkileri ile şehirsel fonksiyonlar zamanla değişirken etki sahaları coğrafi açıdan farlılıklar oluşturmaktadır. Değişen fiziki ve beşeri şartlar zamanla bölge içerisinde yerleşme ve nüfus özelliklerini, çalışma sahasının idari statüsünü, tarım, sanayi ve ulaşım özelliklerini değiştirmiş ve geliştirmiştir. Alanın tez konusu olarak seçilmiş olmasının temel amacı sahanın coğrafi açıdan daha önceden çalışılmamış olmasıdır. Coğrafyanın nedensellik, karşılıklı bağlantı ve dağılış ilkesi içerisinde ele alınan Yenice için bu çalışma bir ilk olma özelliğini göstermektedir. Akdeniz bölgesinin Adana Bölümünde, Adana'nın batısında, Mersin'in doğusunda yer alan Tarsus ilçesine bağlı Yenice verimli bir ova üzerine kurulmuştur. Yenice farklı özelliklere sahip, gelişmeye elverişli bir alan üzerinde yer almakta ve bulunduğu konumu gereği stratejik bir alan oluşturmaktadır. Verimli tarımsal sahaları ile birlikte sanayi faaliyetleri ve gelişen ulaşım hatları Yenice'yi diğer alanlardan ayırmaktadır. Bölge içerinde gelişen ve değişen bir yapıya sahip olan Yenice nüfus ve yerleşme ilişkisinin faklı bir örneğini teşkil etmektedir. While population and settlement relations and urban functions change in process of time, their impact areas create geographical differences. Changing physical and human conditions have changed and improved the settlement and population characterictics,management status of working area, agriculture ,industry and transportation features within the region in time. The main purpose of the field being chosen as thesis subject is that the field has not been studied geographically before.This study demonstrates the feature of being a first for Yenice, which is handled within the principle of causality, reciprocal connection and distribution of geography.Yenice neighborhood work area of Tarsus district where is located in the Adana part of the Mediterranean Region, in the west of Adana, east of Mersin was built on the fertile plain.Yenice is located on a developmental area with different characteristics and due to its location ,it creates a strategic area.Productive agricultural fields and industrial activities , developing transportation lines differentiate Yenice from other areas.Yenice, which has a developing and changing structure in the region, constitutes a different example of the population and settlement relationship.Yenice will be in a very important geographical position in the upcoming years.
