BAĞIN (PALU-ELAZIĞ) KROM YATAĞI ÇEVRESİNDEKİ SULARIN AĞIR METAL KİRLİLİĞİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Çalışma alanı Elazığ ili Palu İlçesi Bağın Köyü çevresinde yer almaktadır. Bölgede, Guleman Ofiyolitleri'ne ait kayaçlar yüzeyleme vermektedir. Yöredeki su kaynakları Dicle Nehrinin önemli beslenme alanlarından kabul edilmektedir. Bu sular daha alt kotlarda hem sulama hem de içme suyu amaçlı olarak kullanılmaktadır. Sulama ve içme amaçla kullanılan bu suların Bağın Krom Ocakları içerisinden veya aynı bölgeden beslenmiş olması nedeniyle ne oranda ağır metal kirliliği içerdiği bilinmemektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında bölgede yer alan yüzey ve yeraltı sularından örnekler alınarak, başta krom, nikel ve kobalt olmak üzere ağır metal konsantrasyonları analiz edilecektir. Analizler Acme analiz laboratuvarında gerçekleştirilecektir. Yapılan analiz sonuçlarına göre; bölgedeki ağır metal kirliliğinin boyutları, olası kaynakları, bölgenin kirlilik potansiyeli, suların hem çevresel hem de halk sağlığı açısından etkileri irdelenecektir.

The study area is located around Bağın Village in Palu District of Elazığ Province. Rocks belonging to the Guleman Ophiolites crop out in the region. The water resources in the region are considered to be important feeding areas of the Tigris River. These waters are used for both irrigation and drinking water purposes at lower elevations. It is not known to what extent these waters used for irrigation and drinking purposes contain heavy metal pollution because they are fed from the Bağın Chrome Quarries or from the same region. Within the scope of this study, samples will be taken from surface and groundwater in the region and heavy metal concentrations, especially chromium, nickel and cobalt, will be analyzed. Analyzes will be carried out in the Acme analysis laboratory. According to the analysis results; The extent of heavy metal pollution in the region, its possible sources, the pollution potential of the region, and the effects of water on both the environment and public health will be examined.
