YAKUP KADRİ KARAOSMANOĞLU'NUN ROMALARINDA ÖTEKİLEŞME SORUNU

Abstract

Ontolojik karakterli bir özgürlük sorunu olan ötekileşme, kişilerin ya da toplumların var oluşunun temeli olan kendilik değerlerini yitirmeleriyle ortaya çıkan felsefi, sosyolojik ve psikolojik bir sorun olarak modern dünya insanının önemli problemlerindendir. Kişi ve/ya toplumların kendilik sınırlarını belirleyen değerlerinden kopmasıyla ortaya çıkan ötekileşme sürecinde değer yitimi; kişinin değerlerinden uzaklaşması, onları önemsememesi, küçümsemesi ve yok sayıp yok etmeye çalışması aşamalarıyla ortaya çıkar.Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu'nun romanlarında, bireysel ve toplumsal bağlamda ele alınan ötekileşme sorunu; roman kişilerinin, Tanzimat'tan Cumhuriyet sonrasına uzanan süreçlerde modernleşme çabalarını yanlış algılayıp hayata da sorunlu geçirmeleriyle ortaya çıkan yabancılaşma serüvenleri olarak ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Ötekileşme, Yabancılaşma, Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, Değer Yitimi, Modernleşme

Otherisation, which is ontologically a matter of liberty, is a crucial problem of human being in modern world as a philosophical, sociological and psychological issue occurring with the loss of entity value which is the basis for the existence of individuals or societies. Loss of value during the process of otherisation, which occurs with the detachment of individuals and/or societies from their values identifying the borders of their entities, appears within the stages of one?s diverging from its values, ignoring, underestimating and trying to eliminate them.Otherisation problem, which has been handled in terms of both individual and societal context, within the novels of Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, has been tried to be put forward as the alienation adventures of novel characters, emerging from misunderstandings of them about modernisation efforts and hence transferring those efforts to the life problematically in the duration from Tanzimat to post republic periods.Key Words: Otherisation, Alienation, Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, Loss of Value, Modernisation
