TÜRK ÜTOPYALARINDA EĞİTİME BAKIŞ: İSMAYIL HAKKI BALTACIOĞLU'NUN RÜYAMDAKİ OKULLAR ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Ütopyanın geçmişi Aristoteles ve Platona kadar eskiye dayanmış olsa da kavram olarak ortaya atan Thomas More olup daha sonra birçok düşünür tarafından da kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Ülkemizde de bu türle ilgili eserler ortaya konmuş ve dönemin sorunlarını ve politikalarını eleştiren ve yerine kendilerince daha iyisini hayal edip yazan yazarlar bu türde eserler yazıp dikkatleri bu tür üstüne çekmişlerdir. Ütopyalarda eğitimle ilgili de bazı önemli bölümlere yer verilmiş, bu konu hakkında görüşler ortaya koyarak yeni fikirler üretilmiştir. İsmayıl Hakkı Baltacıoğlu 19. yüzyılda yaşamış bir fikir adamıdır. Yaşadığı dönemde birçok alanda eserler ortaya koymuş, özellikle eğitim alanında yaptığı çalışmalar ile bu alana katkılar sağlamıştır. Özellikle dönemin eğitim sorunlarını eserlerinde dile getirerek yanlış olarak gördüğü bazı noktaları eleştirmiş ve bu uygulamaların hatalı yönlerinin nasıl düzeltileceği hakkında bilgiler sunmuştur. Rüyamdaki Okullar adlı Ütopya türündeki eserinde de ortaya koyduğu "İçtimai Mektep" olarak kavramlaştırdığı eğitim modelini kendi hayal dünyasını kullanarak hikayeleştirip daha somut bir anlatım metodu kullanmıştır.

Although the history of utopia dates back to Aristotle and Plato, it was Thomas More who put forward the concept as a concept, and then it started to be used by many thinkers. In our country, works related to this genre have been produced and writers who criticize the problems and policies of the period and instead imagine and write better ones, have written works of this type and attracted attention to this genre. In the utopias, some important parts about education were also included, and new ideas were produced by putting forward opinions on this subject. İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu is an intellectual who lived in the 19th century. During his lifetime, he produced works in many fields and contributed to this field, especially with his studies in the field of education. He especially expressed the educational problems of the period in his works, criticizing some points that he saw as wrong, and provided information on how to correct the faulty aspects of these practices. He used a more concrete narrative method by narrating the education model, which he conceptualized as "İçtimai Mektep", which he also put forward in his Utopia type work named Schools in My Dreams, using his own imagination.
