Honey has been used as an adjuvant method of accelerating wound healing from ancient times. It has been sporadically used in burn and various eye disorders (Durgun et al., 2003; Subrahmanyam, 1991). Treatment of the alkali-burned eye continues to be a major challenge in ophthalmology (Gelatt, 1991). The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of honey in the treatment of cornea alkali burns.
