ORTAOKUL 7. SINIF ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN DNR TABANLI ÖĞRETİME GÖRE TAMSAYILAR KONUSUNUN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, matematik dersinin "Tamsayılar" konusunun DNR Tabanlı Öğretim ile işlenmesinin 7. Sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarısına olan etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2020–2021 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında Elazığ/Merkez ilçesinde öğrenim gören ortaokul 7. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada öğrenciler kontrol ve deney olmak üzere iki gruba ayrılmıştır. Kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere geleneksel yöntemlerle, deney grubundaki öğrencilere ise DNR tabanlı öğretim yöntemi kullanılarak tamsayılar konusu anlatılmıştır. Çalışmaya başlamadan önce her iki gruba öntest uygulanmıştır. Çalışma sonrasında da yine aynı şekilde öğrencilerin başarı durumlarını belirlemek için sontest uygulanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda geleneksel yöntemlerle tam sayılar konusu anlatılan öğrencilerin olduğu kontrol grubunda öntest ve sontest puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olmadığı görülmüştür. Bu da mevcut öğretime uygun olacak şekilde işlenen dersin öğrencilerin başarısında anlamlı bir iyileşme sağlamadığını göstermektedir. Deney grubundaki öğrencilerin öntest ve sontest başarı puanları karşılaştırıldığında sontest başarı puanları lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuç dikkate alındığında DNR tabanlı öğretim yönteminin öğrencilerin başarısında anlamlı bir iyileşme sağladığı söylenebilir. Yine çalışma sonucunda kontrol ve deney grubundaki öğrenciler arasında öntest başarı puanları açısından anlamlı bir fark olmadığı, buna karşın DNR tabanlı yaklaşımla tam sayılar konusunun anlatıldığı deney grubundaki öğrencilerin sontest başarı puanlarının geleneksel yöntemlerle tam sayılar konusunun anlatıldığı kontrol grubuna kıyasla anlamlı şekilde yüksek olduğu görüldü. The aim of this research is to examine the effect of DNR-based teaching on the academic success of 7th Grade students in the mathematics course "Integers". The universe of the research consisted of 7th grade students studying in Elazig/Merkez in the 2020-2021 academic year. In the study, students were divided into two groups as control and experiment. The subject of integers was explained to the students in the control group using traditional methods and to the students in the experimental group using the DNR-based teaching method. Before starting the study, a pretest was applied to both groups. After the study, the posttest was applied to determine the success status of the students in the same way. As a result of the study, it was seen that there was no significant difference between the pretest and posttest mean scores in the control group of the students who were taught the subject of integers using traditional methods. This shows that the course taught in accordance with the current teaching did not provide a significant improvement in the success of the students. When the pretest and posttest success scores of the students in the experimental group were compared, it was seen that the posttest success scores were favorably significant. Considering this result, it can be said that the DNR-based teaching method provides a significant improvement in the success of the students. Moreover, as a result of the study, it was seen that there was no significant difference between the students in the control and experimental groups in terms of pretest success scores, however, the posttest achievement scores of the students in the experimental group in which the subject of integers was taught with the DNR-based approach was significantly higher than the control group in which the subject of integers was taught using traditional methods.
