HARPUTLU BAHRİ MAHMUT EFENDİ'NİN HAYATI, ESERLERİ VE FELSEFİ GÖRÜŞLERİ

Abstract

XIX. yüzyıl coğrafyasına baktığımızda Harput kültüründe ilme gereken önemin verildiğini ve Harput'ta nice alimlerin yaşamış olduğu görülür. Bunlardan biri olan Harputlu Bahri Mahmut Efendi de zamanının ilmi şartları açısından telif ettiği eserinde ahlaki değerlerden bahsetmiştir. Nefsin mertebelerine değinen filozof bu esnada kişinin geçirdiği yedi evreyi ve bunların hallerini açıklamıştır.İnsanlardaki bilme ve merak güdüsü, ona bilmediklerini öğrenmeyi arzulattırmıştır. Bu uğurda nice fedakarlıklara katlanmış olan insanoğlu öğrendiği bilgileri insanlığın hizmetine sunmuştur.Bu tez, müellifin Osmanlıca el yazısı olarak yazdığı orijinal eserinden günümüz Türkçesine tercüme edilerek ve tezle alakalı kısımları gözden geçirilip konuyla alakalı diğer felsefi görüşleri de araştırılmak suretiyle oluşturmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler: Ahlak, Bahri Mahmut Efendi, Bahrü'l-Hakayık, Harput, Osmanlı Düşüncesi
