KÖRFEZ KRİZİ BAĞLAMINDA TÜRKİYE'NİN DIŞ POLİTİKASI

Abstract

Basra Körfezi'nin coğrafi ve jeopolitik konumunun değerlendirilmesiyle başlanan çalışmamda genel olarak Körfez kıyısında yer alan ülkelerin coğrafi ve tarihi yapıları üzerinde durmaya çalıştıktan sonra Körfez Krizi'nin çıkmasında etkin rol oynayan Irak lideri Saddam Hüseyin döneminde ABD'nin ve İngiltere'nin Basra Körfezi ile Irak üzerindeki sosyal ve tarihi politikalarına değinilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra Körfez Krizi'nin başlama nedenleri ve bu kriz sırasında ABD, İngiltere ve Türkiye'nin nasıl bir tavır sergilendiğini ve son bölümde de Körfez Krizi sonrası bölgede yaşanan gelişmelerle birlikte krizin Türkiye'ye etkisi ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır. Basra Körfezi tarihin önemli olaylarına şahitlik etmiş bir coğrafyadır. Bu önemli olaylardan biri de hiç şüphesiz ki Körfez Krizi olmuştur. Bu kriz Türkiye'nin dış politikasında bir değişime gitmesine ve Ortadoğu coğrafyasındaki dengeleri değiştirmesi açısından bölgedeki ülkelerin birbirleriyle olan ilişkilerine de yeni bir boyut kazandırmıştır. Körfez Krizi özellikle Türkiye'de ve Ortadoğu'da yeni bir dönemin başlangıcını teşkil etmiştir.

The Persian Gulf is a geography that has witnessed important events in history. One of these important events was undoubtedly the Gulf Crisis. This crisis is going to change in Turkey's foreign policy and the countries of the region in terms of changing the balance in the Middle East region also it has added a new dimension to relations with each other. Gulf Crisis marked the beginning of a new era, especially in Turkey and the Middle East.
