6. SINIF SOSYAL BİLGİLER DERSİ KAZANIMLARININ GERÇEKLEŞTİRİLME DÜZEYİNE İLİŞKİN ÖĞRETMEN GÖRÜŞLERİ (DİYARBAKIR İLİ ÖRNEĞİ)

Abstract

Yaşadığımız çağda her geçen gün sistemler, toplumlar, bireyler ve ihtiyaçlar değişmektedir. Bütün bu değişimlere ayak uyduran bireyleri yetiştirmekle görevli olan eğitim öğretim teşkilatına büyük bir iş düşmektedir. Bu değişimlerin etkisi sadece öğrencilere değil, eğitim kurumunun tüm fertlerine kadar indirgenmektedir. Aileden, öğrenciden tutun da öğretmene ve eğitim bürokrasisine kadar her kesimi bir şekilde etkilemektedir. Geleneksel eğitim sisteminin çağın istediği profilde birey yetiştiremediği açık bir şekilde görülmüştür. Çağın gerektirdiği bireylerin yetiştirilmesi süreci oldukça uzun ve karmaşık bir yapıya sahiptir. Çünkü bu süreç her kesimi ilgilendirmektedir. Bu değişime ayak uyduramayan toplumlar gerilemeye başlarlar. Bu gerilemenin önünü almak için önemli olan yapıcı ve köklü çözümler sunmaktır.2005?2006 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında ülkemizin belirli illerinde ve okullarındaki pilot okullarda yeni bir eğitim öğretim programı uygulanmaya başlandı. Bu okullarda alınan dönütlerden sonra da 2006?2007 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında tüm yurtta 6. sınıflara bu program uygulanmaya başlandı.Bilindiği gibi 2006?2007 Eğitim Öğretim yılında 6. sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi yeni müfredatı tüm okullara uygulandı. Bu amaçla yeni uygulanan bu programın en önemli ayağını oluşturan kazanımların gerçekleştirilme düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla böyle bir çalışmayı başlattık. Programın yeni uygulanması nedeniyle elimizde net veriler bulunmamaktadır. Bu yüzden bu çalışmayla birlikte öğretmenlerin görüşleri doğrultusunda kazanımların uygulanma düzeylerini belirlemek gerekiyordu.Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin 6. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin kazanımlarının gerçekleştirilme düzeyine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılan bu araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Bu model çerçevesinde, ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin konu ile ilgili görüş ve önerileri ortaya konmuştur.Araştırma, Diyarbakır il merkezinde bulunan Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı ilköğretim okullarında çalışan 230 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmeni üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, 3 bölümden oluşan "6. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin kazanımlarının gerçekleştirilme düzeyine ilişkin Anket Formu" (EK I) kullanılmıştır. Değerlendirilen 155 anket formundan elde edilen veriler SPSS istatistik programı yardımıyla frekans, yüzde ortalama, t, ve f testi teknikleri ile çözümlenmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Sosyal Bilgiler Programı, Kazanım, Öğrenme Alanı, Etkinlik

In the age that we live; systems, communities, individuals and needs change every day. The education system that is in charge of guiding those individuals who need to keep up with the changes has a huge responsibility. The effects of those changes are not only peculiar to students, but also to every single person of the education system. All parts of any given society, from the student and the family to the teacher and the whole education bureaucracy, are to some extent affected by those changes. It has been clearly seen that the conventional education system has failed to produce the type of students that the age demands. The process of producing the type of students that the age requires has quite a long and complex structure because this process is a matter of concern for all parts of society. The societies that are unable to keep up with those changes start to go backwards. What is important thing to do is to offer radical and constructive solutions to prevent this regression.In the 2005-2006 school year, a new education programme commenced, to be applied in certain cities and at some schools in our country. After satisfactory feedback resulted from this education programme, it was decided that this programme be applied to all sixth graders in the whole country in the 2006-2007 school year.As is known, the new curriculum of Social Sciences was applied in all schools in the sixth grade in the 2006-2007 school year. To this end, we have started such a survey in order to find out the level of the acquisition achievement, which is of the greatest importance to this programme. Since the programme is new, we do not have clear results, therefore, it was necessary to ask for the teachers? opinions to reveal the level of the achievement of the acquisition, which we have done in this work.The Survey-Scanning Model has been used in this work to determine the views of the Social Sciences level of achievement of the course acquisition. In accordance with this model, the views and suggestions of the Social Sciences teachers working in the Elementary Schools with regard to the matter have been included.The survey was conducted on 230 Social Sciences Teachers working in the Elementary Schools in the city of Diyarbakır under the Ministry of Education. In the survey, as the instrument to collect data, ?The Survey Sheet related to the level of the achievement of the acquisition of the 6. Grade Social Sciences course (Attachment I)?, which consists of three parts, were used. The data obtained from 155 survey forms have been analyzed with the techniques of frequency, percentage average, and t and f tests with the help of SPSS statistics programme.Key Words: Social Sciences Programme, Acquisition, The Scope of Learning, Activity
