KORAY AVCI ÇAKMAN'IN "İLGİNÇ ÜLKELER DİZİSİ"NİN SÖZ VARLIĞI AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Söz varlığı bir dilde kullanılan sözcüklerin yanı sıra atasözü, deyim, terim, ikileme, yabancı sözcük, kalıplaşmış söz gibi söz ve sözcük gruplarını kapsar. Söz varlığının temeli çocukluk döneminde başlar. Çocukluk dönemi genel olarak gelişimin özellikle dil gelişiminin hızlı olduğu bir süreci içerir. Çocukların yaş ve gelişim düzeylerine uygun olarak yazılan eserler çocuk edebiyatı kapsamında değerlendirebilir. Bu süreçte çocuğun okuduğu, dinlediği nitelikli eserler kelime hazinesinin gelişimini etkileyip söz varlığını da zenginleştirmektedir. Bu yüzden çocukluk döneminde okunan eserler özellikle söz varlığı yönünden çocuğun dünyasına hitap etmelidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Koray Avcı Çakman'ın "Advin Sahra Çölü'nde, Advin Gümüş Sırtlı Goriller Ülkesinde, Advin Amazon'da" adlı eserlerinin yer aldığı "İlginç Ülkeler Dizisi"ni söz varlığı açısından incelemektir. Bu çalışma nitel araştırma deseninde ve doküman incelemesi yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. Doküman incelemesinde çeşitli kaynaklardan derlenen bilgiler ışığında söz varlığı ve söz varlığını oluşturan ögeler hakkında bilgiler verilmiş, daha sonra çalışmaya esas teşkil eden eserlerdeki söz varlığı unsurları tespit edilerek Doğan Aksan'ın "Türkçenin Söz Varlığı" adlı eserindeki tasnife göre değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda 5545 yabancı sözcük, 801 deyim, 573 kalıp söz, 362 ikileme, 30 terim ve 1 atasözü tespit edilmiştir. Kalıplaşmış sözler ve çeviri sözcükler tespit edilmemiştir. İncelenen eserler söz varlığı açısından çocuklar için önerilebilir kaynaklar arasındadır.

In addition to the words used in a language, vocabulary also includes words and word groups such as proverbs, idioms, terms, phrases, foreign words, stereotypes. The foundation of vocabulary begins in childhood. Childhood period generally includes a period in which development, especially language development, is rapid. Works written in accordance with the age and developmental levels of children can be considered within the scope of children's literature. In this process, the quality works that the child reads and listens to affect the development of vocabulary and enrich the vocabulary. Therefore, the works read in childhood should appeal to the child's world, especially in terms of vocabulary. The aim of this study is to analyze Koray Avcı Çakman's "Interesting Countries Series", which includes the works titled "Advin in the Sahara Desert, Advin in the Land of Silverback Gorillas, Advin in the Amazon", in terms of vocabulary. This study was conducted with qualitative research design and document analysis method. In the document analysis, information about the vocabulary and the elements that make up the vocabulary was given in the light of the information compiled from various sources, then the elements of the vocabulary in the works that constitute the basis of the study were determined and evaluated according to the classification in Doğan Aksan's "Turkish Dictionary". As a result of the study, 5545 foreign words, 801 idioms, 573 stereotypes, 362 doublings, 30 terms and 1 proverb were identified. Stereotypes and translated words were not detected.
