SPOR BİLİMLERİ ALANINDA ÇALIŞAN AKADEMİSYENLERİN İNSANİ DEĞERLERİNİN EMPATİK EĞİLİM DÜZEYLERİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı spor bilimleri alanında çalışan akademisyenlerin insani değerlere sahip olma düzeylerinin ve empatik eğilim düzeylerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. İlişkisel tarama yöntemi kulanılarak yapılan araştırmanın evrenini yükseköğretime kurumuna bağlı spor bilimleri alanında çalışan 2658 akademisyenden oluşurken örneklemi ise 444 akademisyenden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma için kullanılan veri toplama araçları üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanmış katılımcıların bireysel ve demografik bilgilerini ortaya koyacak olan kişisel bilgi formu; ikinci bölümde Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği, üçüncü bölümde ise İnsani Değerler Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin yüzde ve frekans değerleri belirlenip, ikili karşılaştırmalarda t testi ve çoklu karşılaştırmalarda anova testleri yapılmıştır. İki ölçek arasındaki ilişki için "Pearson Korelasyon" testi ve ölçekler arası etki için ise "Linear Regresyon" testlerinin sonuçlarına bakılmıştır. Sonuç olarak spor bilimleri alanında çalışan akademisyenlerin empatik eğilim düzeylerine cinsiyet ve medeni durum değişkenlerinde anlamlı farklılığa rastlanmamıştır. Yaş, kurumda çalışma süresi ve akademik unvan değişkenlerinde anlamlı farklılığa rastlanmıştır. Akademisyenlerin insani değerlere sahip olma düzeylerine bakıldığında cinsiyet, medeni durum, yaş ve akademik unvan değişkeninde anlamlı farklılığa rastlanmıştır. Kurumda çalışma süresi değişkeninde anlamlı farklılığa rastlanmamıştır. Empatik eğilim ölçeğinin insani değerler ölçeğine göre pearson korelasyon analizi sonuçlarına göre empatik eğilim ölçeği ile insani değerler ölçeği arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışmaya katılan akademisyenlerin insani değerlere sahip olma düzeylerinin empatik eğilim düzeyleri üzerinde pozitif yönde, %9,2'lik oranla zayıf düzeyde bir etkiye sebep olduğu tespit edilmiştir. The aim of this study is to examine the levels of human values and empathetic tendencies of academics working in the field of sports sciences from various variables. The study, which employs a relational screening method, includes a population of 2,658 academics working in the sports sciences field within higher education institutions, with a sample size of 444 academics. The data collection tool used in the research consists of three sections. The first section is a personal information form prepared by the researcher to reveal participants' individual and demographic information; the second section uses the Empathic Tendency Scale, and the third section utilizes the Human Values Scale. Data analysis involved determining percentages and frequency values, conducting t-tests for pairwise comparisons, and ANOVA tests for multiple comparisons. For the relationship between the two scales, the "Pearson Correlation" test was used, and for the effect between scales, "Linear Regression" tests were applied. The results indicate that there were no significant differences in the levels of empathetic tendencies based on gender and marital status. However, significant differences were found with respect to age, years of service at the institution, and academic title. In terms of human values, significant differences were observed based on gender, marital status, age, and academic title, while no significant difference was found concerning years of service at the institution. According to the Pearson correlation analysis results, there is a positive and significant relationship between the Empathic Tendency Scale and the Human Values Scale. It was determined that the level of human values possessed by the participating academics has a weak positive effect, at a rate of 9.2%, on their empathetic tendency levels.
