Abstract

Antik kent özelliği taşıyanHasankeyf, tarih boyunca çok önemli bir idari merkez ve ticaret merkezi olmuştur.Hasankeyf, var olan tarihi özelliklerinin su yüzüne çıkmasıyla birlikte 1978 yılında birinciS T alanı ilan edilmiştir. 1981 yılında ise ilçenin tümü S T alanı ilan edilmiştir.Günümüzde Hasankeyf, 18 köy ve 7 mezrası bulunan bir ilçe merkezidir.Hasankeyf lçe merkezinde nüfusun seyri, Cumhuriyet tarihi boyunca ilginç bir gidişatgöstermiştir. Bazı nüfus sayımlarında çok önemli artış, bazı yıllarda da çok ciddi bir azalışgöstermiştir. Özellikle 1970 yılı nüfus sayımında, nüfusun büyük oranda arttığıgörülmektedir. Bu sayım dışında, nüfusta çok ciddi bir artış görülmezken genelde nüfusunazaldığı görülmektedir.lçe merkezinde ekonomik faaliyetler oldukça sınırlıdır. lçe merkezindeki önemlifaaliyetlerden biri tarım olmuştur. Ancak tarım, son yıllarda önemini kaybeden bir sektördür.lçe merkezinde hizmet sektörü son yıllarda en çok önem kazanan ekonomik faaliyetolmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler: Hasankeyf, Dicle nehri, Nüfus, S T alanı, Ilısu Barajı

Hasankeyf had beenunder sovereignity of the Abbasis, the Mervanis, the Seldjucks, the Artuklus, the Eyyubis, theAkkoyunlus and the Ottomans during the historical period.. Hasankeyf, having the propertiesof ancient cities, had been a very impportant place for trade and governing. After thehistorical features of Hasankeyf were revealed in 1978, it has been chosen as the fisrt SITArea.In 1981 the whole area of the district was chosen as the SIT Area. Today, Hasankeyf has18 villages and 7 arable fields.In some of the census done in the Republic history varies in a very interesting rate. Insome years it shows a remarkable increase and in some years a serious decrease. Especiallyin the 1790?s census a very high increase is notable. Except this census, a very importanincrease has not been noticed, whereas generally a decrease is seen.The economic facilities are quite limited on the center of the Hasankeyf. Agriculture hasbeen a key business in there.. But agriculture has been a sector that gradually has lost itsimportance.
