Abstract

1191 Numaralı ve H. 1166-1179 / M. 1752-1765 Tarihli Rumeli Mahlût Hurûfat Defteri (Transkripsiyon ve Değerlendirme) başlıklı bu tez, 18. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında Osmanlı Rumelisi'nde bulunan dini ve sosyal vakıf yapılarını (cami, mescit, medrese, mektep, zaviye vesair), görevlilerini, vakıfların işleyişini çeşitli yönleriyle incelemektedir. Tez üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde Osmanlı vakıf sistemi ile Hurûfat defterlerinin özellikleri açıklanmıştır. Değerlendirme kısmı olan ikinci bölümde idari birimler, vakıf yapıları ve görevliler analiz edilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise defterin transkripsiyonuna yer verilmiştir.

Entitled The Rumelian Mixed (Mahlût) Hurûfât Register No. 1191 (AH 1166–1179 / AD 1752–1765) (Transcription and Analysis), this thesis examines religious and social waqf institutions (mosques, masjids, madrasas, primary schools, lodges, and related establishments), their personnel, and the functioning of waqfs in various dimensions in Ottoman Rumelia during the second half of the eighteenth century. The thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter outlines the Ottoman waqf system and the characteristics of Hurûfât registers. The second chapter, which constitutes the analytical core of the study, analyzes administrative units, waqf institutions, and their officials. The third chapter presents the transcription of the register.
