GEÇMİŞTEN GÜNÜMÜZE KÜRESEL PANDEMİLER ÜZERİNE SOSYOLOJİK BİR İNCELEME

Abstract

Bulaşıcı hastalıklar, salgın (epidemi) ve küresel salgın (pandemi) boyutlarına geldiklerinde toplumların geleceklerini etkilemiş, tarihimizde derin izler bırakmış hatta tarihi şekillendirmiştir. Elbette ki salgınlardan sadece insanlar değil aynı zamanda toplum, doğa ve diğer canlı türleri de etkilenmiştir. Salgınların bu etki durumu hem bedensel hem de ruhsal boyutları ile bütüncül bir özellik taşımaktadır. Salgınlar geçmişten günümüze toplum hafızasında, psikolojisinde olumsuz sonuçlara sebep olmuştur. Bu yüksek lisans tez çalışmasında yakın geçmişte meydana gelen pandemilerin toplumsal yansımalarını ele alarak ulus devlet, Malthusçuluk ve Yeni Malthusçuluk kuramları, anomi ve küreselleşme kavramları üzerinden pandemiler değerlendirilmiştir.

When communicable diseases reached epidemic (epidemic) and global epidemic (pandemic) dimensions, they affected the future of societies, left deep traces in our history and even shaped history. Of course, not only humans, but also society, nature and other living species were affected by the epidemics. This effect of epidemics has a holistic feature with both physical and mental dimensions. Epidemics have caused negative results in the memory and psychology of the society from the past to the present. In this master thesis study, pandemics were evaluated through the concepts of nation state, Malthusianism and New Malthusianism, anomie, and globalization by addressing the social reflections of recent pandemics.
