CELİL ORHAN’IN “MAMURETÜ’L-AZİZ (HARPUT)TARİHİ VE HARSÎ TETKİKAT” ADLI EL YAZMASI ESERİ VE BU ESERDE GEÇEN HALK HEKİMLİĞİ UYGULAMALARI

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Celil Orhan’ın “Mamuretü’l-Aziz (Harput) Tarihi ve Harsî Tetkikat” adlı el yazması eseri temel alınmıştır. Celil Orhan bu eserini Mamuretü’l-Aziz vilayetinde çalıştığı dönemde kaleme almıştır. Çalışmamızda el yazması eser ve yazar hakkında genel bilgi verildikten sonra halk hekimliği uygulamaları üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu kapsamda Mamuretü’l-Aziz vilayeti merkezinde ve taşrada yaşayan halkın genel sağlık durumları hakkında bilgiler yer almaktadır. Mamuretü’l-Aziz’de yaşayan insanların karakter yapıları demevi mizaç ve safravi mizaç olarak tespit edilmiştir. Mizaç türleri insanların beslenmelerinde ve hastalanmalarında etkilidir. Ateş, tifo, göz, cilt, mide, bağırsak gibi çeşitli hastalıklar Mamuretü’l-Aziz vilayetinde görülmektedir. Celil Orhan’ın el yazmasında bu hastalıkların tedavi yöntemleri hakkında bilgiler vardır. Bu yöntemler halk hekimliği uygulamaları biçimindedir. Halk hekimliğinde kocakarı ilaçları yaygın olarak kullanılmıştır. Hastalıklar türbe, kabir, ziyaret gibi yerlerde yapılan ritüeller ile tedavi edilmiştir. Türbe, kabir, ziyaret gibi yerlerde yapılan ritüeller ile hastalığın sağaltılmasına çalışılmıştır. Bütün bunların yanında Mamuretü’l-Aziz vilayetinde hastalıkların tedavi edilmesinde tıbbi yöntemler uygulanmıştır. Celil Orhan’ın el yazmasından Mamuretü’l-Aziz merkezinde iki hastane olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bunlar askerî ve memleket hastaneleridir.

This study is based on Celil Orhan’s manuscript titled “History of Mamuretü’l-Aziz (Harput) and Harsî Tetkikat”. Celil Orhan wrote this work while he was working in the province of Mamuretü’l-Aziz. In our study, after giving general information about the manuscript and the author, folk medicine practices were emphasized. In this context, there is information about the general health status of the people living in the center of the province of Mamuretü’l-Aziz and in the countryside. The character structures of the people living in Mamuretü’l-Aziz were determined as demevi temperament and saffron temperament. Temperament types are effective in people’s nutrition and illness. Various diseases such as fever, typhoid, eye, skin, stomach, intestine are seen in the province of Mamuretü’l-Aziz. Celil Orhan’s manuscript contains information about the treatment methods of these diseases. These methods are in the form of folk medicine practices. In folk medicine folk remedies were widely used. Diseases were cured with rituals performed in places such as tombs, graves and visits. In addition to all these, medical methods were applied in the treatment of diseases in the province of Mamuretü’l-Aziz. It is understood from Celil Orhan’s manuscript that there were two hospitals in the center of Mamuretü’l-Aziz. These are military and country hospitals.
