WHİTEHEAD’DE TANRI’NIN YARATICILIĞI PROBLEMİ

Abstract

Genellikle bütün teist anlayışlarda mükemmel bir varlık anlayışının en temel esasını, “Yaratıcı Tanrı” düşüncesi oluşturur. Yaratma kavramı, “gerçekleştirmek, ortaya çıkarmak, varlığa getirmek,” anlamında kullanılmaktadır. Varlığa getirmek anlamında yaratma genelde iki şekilde meydana gelmektedir; Tanrı, her şeyi yoktan varlığa getirmiştir ya da bir bina gibi önceden bulunan bir materyal vasıtası ile varlığa getirmiştir. İşte bu noktada Whitehead, yaratma kavramını klasik düşünceden farklı anlamda kullanmaktadır. O, yaratma kavramını, Tanrı kavramından daha geniş tutmaktadır. Şöyle ki bütün kararlar Tanrı tarafından verilmiş kararlar değildir. Bu çalışmada Whitehead’in klasik anlayışlardan farklı olarak yaratmayı nasıl anladığını ve hangi noktalarda ayrıldığını göstermeye çalışacağız

In general in the understanding of all the theist approaches, God’s creativity constitutes the most basic essence of the concept of the absolutely perfect God. The term creativity here has been used with the meanings of the carrying out, revealing and bringing into existance. The bringing into existance meaning of creativity happens in two ways. Either God brings everything into existance out of nothing or He brings them into being out of an old material as in the case of building. At this point Whitehead uses the concept of creation in a different way than the classical mode of thought. For him, the concept of creating is wider than the concept of God. Namely, not all the decisions have been given by God. In this study we’ll try to show how Whitehead understood the creation process diferent from the classical understanding and at which points he is different from others
