ELAZIĞ YÖRESİNDE LYME (BORRELİA BURGDORFERİ)`İN YAYGINLIĞININ ARAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract

Elazığ yöresinde lyme (Borrelia burgdorferi)'ın yaygınlığının araştırılması amacıyla 182 kan örneği incelendi. Kan örnekleri kullanılıncaya kadar -20°C'de deep-freez'de saklandı. EİA [immunowell Borrelia burgdorferi (lyme) testi] yöntemi kullanılarak yapılan incelemede toplam 11 hastada seropozitiflik (% 6) saptandı. Seropozitif 11 olgudan 8'inde Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) ve Romatoid faktör (RF) testleri negatif bulundu. 3 hasta yeniden kan vermek istemediğinden RPR ve RF testleri çalışılmadı. Seropozitif 11 olgunun 9'u kadın 2'si erkekti. İncelemeler sonucu lyme'ın Elazığ yöresinde gelecekte önemli bir halk sağlığı sorunu olarak karşımıza çıkabileceği kanaatine varıldı. Bu konuda daha geniş çaplı sero-epidemiyolojik çalışmaların yapılması gereğine inanıyoruz.

182 blood samples were analised with the purpose of searching lyme- spread (Borrelia burgdorferi)'in Elazığ region. The samples were kept at -20 CC in the deep-freeze untill they were used. In the study done by using EİA Test (Immunowell Borrelia burgdorferi (lyme Test), 6 % cerro-positivity was determined in 1 1 patients. In the 8 of the 11 sero-positive patients Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) and Romatoid Factor (RF) tests were negative. RPR and RF tests could not be analised because 3 of the patients did not want to regive blood. 9 of the 11 sero-positive patients were female and 2 were male. Inconclusion, lyme could be an important public problem in Elazığ in the future. We think that more detailed sero-epidemiologic studies should be done.
